I greatly enjoyed my stay at Sedona lodge.my flight kept getting cancelled due to a winter storm. They were very flexible, check in after hours was easy. Place was clean, located in a safe area. Plenty to do nearby.
In the past, I’ve loved the affordable rates and lovely views. But this past weekend I stayed in the newly built wing of the hotel and my suite was gorgeous. All modern amenities, lots of space, and most importantly, stunning red rock views from all my windows. I spent the mornings sitting out on my private deck overlooking Castle Rock & Bell Rock, with bluffs and buttes off in the distance. The bed was comfortable, the shower was a beautiful walk in with good water pressure, and the kitchenette was spacious. There was a fireplace in my room and great restaurants within walking distance. I even spent time on the “viewing deck” on the second floor looking out at the sunset on Courthouse Butte. Mitch and his family run a beautiful business, and they always take great care of me when I’m there. The only way I got myself to leave was by booking my next visit!…
Sedona village lodge is a true gem; when it comes to location and accommodations. The room exceeded our expectations. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. It is walking distance to restaurants and Bell rock canyon trail head. The view from our room was perfect. What I loved the most was how close it is to Sedona, but far enough if you want to avoid the business of it all and be in a quiet yet stunning spot. We will definitely stay here again
Very nice and clean room. The staff was so friendly and very accommodating. The views were spectacular. We stayed in the brand new addition. Restaurants close by, within walking distance. Prices were fair.
I saw the “We Value Your Opinion” magnet on the mini fridge in the room and thought, let’s test the owners to see if they really mean it. I’ve stayed in hotels, resorts, AirBnB and the like hundreds and hundreds of times throughout my life and all over the world. I only write to this note that I’m not a novice at travel. I booked this place through Hotels.com. I read the reviews and felt good about the price and value proposition. The front desk gentlemen was very nice and welcoming. He seemed a little annoyed that I booked through Hotels.com and told me that they had to pay them a commission so the “next time” I might want to call and book direct because “we will give you a better rate.” Okay, good to know. We apparently ended up in one of the Standard Rooms (which are very basic) and not one of the newer rooms that all the positive reviews talk about. I’m 6’4” and need a King bed so I picked the only King bed room they had. The room (22) has no coffee maker. The bathroom faucet leaks. We asked to have it fixed and later when the front desk gentleman said he saw my not so positive review on Yelp, he explained (and apologized) that he came to the room and tried to fix the drain but realized it was okay. Not sure how you can misconstrue a leaky faucet from a plugged drain but okay. The room has no closet. Just a clothes rod to hang above the counter where the microwave sits. The TV volume was so terrible we couldn’t hear anything. The front desk gentleman came to our room to check on it and couldn’t fix it. He gave us $10 to buy us an espresso as his way of saying, “Sorry, we don’t have TV’s you can actually hear.” The mattress and mattress cover must be pretty old. The sheets and mattress cover would come off in the night. The mattress cover was frumpy and made it a challenge to sleep over the “bumps.” Overall, I take responsibility for not going to a really nice resort for my proposal weekend. I shouldn’t have settled on price and reviews. I just hope the owners really DO “Value Opinions” of their guests and work on upgrading this room and all others like it. It’s a nice place overall for the price but it is the little things that bring not so pleasant reviews. Focus on the little things.…
