Out of the crowds, peaceful and serene. Wake up to birds chirping and sun on your face, then head down to the scrumptious breakfast as the launching point for your day. Staff is wonderful, the owners charming, room well appointed, very comfortable, and the view!!! We will definitely be back!

Penrose is beyond fabulous! The setting is magnificent (yet a short drive from town), and the inn is beautifully appointed & immaculate. The gracious and amazing personal attention sets this inn apart even further. They offered a yummy breakfast while respecting our dietary restrictions. Then Whitney sat with us for ages and patiently discussed our hiking options, details about the routes, and his recommendations. Most amazingly of all -- we managed to get lost notwithstanding his detailed directions, and found ourselves far from our car as dusk was setting in. We called Whitney for guidance -- and instead he drove over, picked us up, and drove us to our car! The inn also provided a lovely surprise at the end of our stay. We've stayed at many B&Bs--and this is one of the very best. We'll be thrilled to get back.

We had an incredible visit here at the Penrose B&B. The location and views cannot be beat. The owners Whitney & Christie Pope could not be more gracious. Maria and Carrie were wonderful to work with and Chef Stephen was superb with wonderful breakfasts. The rooms are quite comfortable and the big outdoor patios, front and back, are lovely for a glass of wine or to sit and read. The amenities such as soft drinks and water and nuts and snack bars are really pleasant and appreciated.

My husband and I stayed here for our 10 year anniversary. We had so much trouble getting to the b&b on time during their posted checkin time, but they were SO accommodating and understanding and patient with us. We were given a tour and history upon arrival (even though we arrived late) and were so warmly welcomed. We stayed in the Kokopelli room and when we walked in there were rose petals and a box of treats on our bed. We arrived at night so upon waking up we were BLOWN away by the views! Maria was our host for breakfast. She was AMAZING!!! The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully plated. I told her if it were socially acceptable I would lick the plate clean 😂 the service was beyond 5 stars. The location was amazing. Everything smelled fresh and clean. It was so quiet and calm. We enjoyed a relaxing bath in the jacuzzi tub KID FREE!! This was such a great experience and we will absolutely be back. We can’t thank this amazing family enough for all they did to make our 10 year anniversary such a wonderful experience. They really thought about all of the details. There’s a fridge full of drinks you can help yourself to and they have delicious snacks out a night Incase you have a late night craving for something sweet. THANK YOU ALL!!!!! We love you guys!
