I do not believe there is a shuttle from the airport but you would probably get a better answer from the hotel regarding this. They were extremely helpful and personable so I think would give you a straightforward answer. I am sorry I am not any help with the distance to ASU as I don't know where ASU campus is. The hotel is in Scottsdale near the Fashion Square Mall and my guess is ASU was in Phoenix proper.
