Detailed Reviews
We recently stayed here for a business trip in Scottsdale. It is somewhat smaller than some of the competitors in the area but it is clean and very lovely. Every staff member we came in contact with was extremely friendly and went out of their way for us. The bartender was so thoughtful and welcoming. We thought their food was some of the best we had during our time in the surrounding area. This is a good choice for those who are on a budget and will not be utilizing the hotel too much more then a bed. They have rooms with lovely views of the lake and even have complimentary canoe and kayak rentals for the lake.

Another great experience at The Millenium Hotel. Our favorite employee - Wedly - checked us in and held our luggage while we grabbed a bite to eat at their restaurant. The food was great as well as the service. Wedly also recommended a couple of restaurants that turned out to be Gold! The room was clean and spacious. Housekeeping is by request only, so you must remember to ask them in the morning if you want your room cleaned. We forgot, but we were able to get clean towels, shampoo, coffee packets and water bottles at the front desk.
We didn't have time to do any of the outdoor activities this trip, but the heated pool looked very inviting. This time of year in Scottsdale is just Fantastic. It was a bit chilly at night, but they had a fire pit out by the pool which was great to sit around and visit with friends.

The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. Located in a good spot for things to do in Scottsdale. There is also a complimentary shuttle that runs within five miles of the resort.
The bar had a decent enough selection but was a little pricey. This time did not get the restaurant.

The lobby and halls are extremely dated and dreary, I’m surprised they haven’t renovated given that the actual rooms are acceptably fine once you get into them. The restaurant was decent, service was good.
The gym, however, is inadequate. There is a aged and broken tread, two antiquated bikes, a 90’s elliptical machine, and a cable machine that I didn’t try as it was occupied. They do have a full dumbbell set and for some reason at least a dozen medicine balls. I told the front desk that they were out of sanitizing wipes but they never ended up restocking them (in flu season). Spending a few grand on new machines would go a long way for business travelers like me who would go out of our way to pick a decent gym.

464heatherg, thank you for taking time to give an honest review of your stay. I apologize that we did not meet your expectations during your recent stay with us. We take all guest feedback to heart as we want everyone to have a great experience with us, and I apologize if we fell short on that. That being said, I have passed your comments to the proper departments so we may begin addressing them. We are looking in to making changes to our fitness room and including more artwork and lighting throughout our hallways. We value your feedback and hope to have the opportunity for you to stay with us again.

Reservations are NOT guaranteed, even with a credit card. We made reservations in August for a 3 night stay with a November 4th arrival . Our reservations were for a lake view and we guaranteed our arrival with a credit card. We arrived and were told they were over sold and we ended up with a room overlooking the parking lot and a major two lane road with lots of traffic noise, plus a balcony with no chairs. We were told they could move us the next day and would call when the room was ready. By 3:00 we had no call so my husband went to check and they said there was no room available with a lake view. I’m sure many of the people who ended up with a lake view room did not reserve 3 months prior like we had done. I’m sure when we made the reservation the price was lower so this company knew they could make more money reserving to people who did not make earlier reservations as we did. Terrible business practice so do not stay here if you are set on a lake view even if you booked months in advance.

At the bar every time I went to the bar the price of my drink of choice was a different price. $45.00 charge for early check in even tho my room was ready never have been charged for early check in if my room was ready when I questioned them I was told because of extra work they did over priced 3 star hotel. Event wedding rehearsal dinner and party over 100 friends and family members that was the best part after a very long year and a half congratulations Lauren& Ross wedding reception held at Mountain Shadows that is a real 5star hotel

We appreciate you taking time to review your stay with us and are disappointed to hear there were areas we fell short on. Our bar prices do not change and are posted in the bar, posted menus and also at the front desk. We do offer a bartender special which may have been a discounted price at times - I apologize if this special was not verbally communicated. In regards to our early check in policy, our guaranteed check in time is 4:00PM and the front desk is happy to store your luggage while you wait for your room. Based on availability, an early check in room may be available for a fee. We hope to have the chance to welcome you back again in the future!

For a family gathering, we booked 3 so called 'Superior Lake View rooms' at a price premium to standard or deluxe rooms. Upon arrival and check-in, our assigned rooms were in a corner with only a view of the fence surrounding the pool. The only view of the lake would be if we procured a 15 foot ladder and stood on our toes on the top rung. Upon returning to the front desk, we were told because the rooms were angled in the direction of the lake, they were classified as lake view. Don't trust this place to accomodate as promised. Desk help was poor. Disappointed!!!

Zonagolfer1, thank you for taking time to review your stay. I am sorry to hear about the disappointing aspects including your room type. We offer three room types at our resort - Standard, deluxe and superior. Our superior rooms are all water view rooms which provide a relaxing view of our swimming pool and Camelback Lake. We hope to have the chance to welcome you back soon for a better experience.

Just not sure what to say about this property. It’s not bad, it’s not great, it’s older and it looks like they’ve tried updating a bit, the grounds are beautiful but, there’s always a but.
The restaurant had 1 server, she served us dinner and breakfast and I’ve gotta say, go eat elsewhere. The beds was comfy, small shower, white walls with very dated prints, sliding door to the patio was really difficult to open as was the screen. These fixes are easy but not cheap when you’ve got multiple.
Bottom line is it was priced fairly for the hotel.

Thank you for taking time to share your feedback, I am sorry to hear we did not exceed your expectations. Our patio doors have 2 locks: the door handle lock & a security bar, I am sorry if this had not been communicated to you. We hope to welcome you back soon for a better stay.

My daughter had her wedding here and from the time we walked in the door to look around, without an appointment, a year before the wedding we were treated with such friendly service that it didn't take long to decide this was the venue for us. They have a wedding coordinator who has every detail down and assisted us with pulling together an amazing wedding. Every time we met at the resort for wedding planning, we were served drinks, snacks, lunch or whatever we wanted. I always felt valued and that they were there to make our day special. Although the staff was second to none, the food was over the top perfect! The 145 wedding guests were served hot, gourmet meals prepared by a chef and presented with amazing plating all at once. I've never attended a wedding with such an impeccable flow to the food service. I highly recommend the McCormick Scottsdale for your event and Deby as your wedding coordinator. Many guests and family stayed at the resort for the weekend, but we did not, so I can not comment on the resort accomodations. I can only say the food in the restaurant/bar was great, and the venue for a wedding is a must.

We just returned from a trip to Barrett-Jackson and stayed in the McCormick Scottsdale. Room was very clean and staff was nice. The restaurant inside the hotel had very good food and a pleasant staff. Would definitely stay there again. I would suggest that if you are a light sleeper that you request a room with the lake view. The front of the hotel facing North Scottsdale road may have traffice noise. When I called to make the reservations I told them that I was a light sleeper and they suggested the lake view which is on the backside of the hotel. Heated pool and canoes are there for your use. There is a $25 a day resort fee.

There is a mini fridge in each guest room. Microwave is available in the lobby near the gift retail shop.
The front desk offers early check ins based on availability. Feel free to call the hotel on your arrival date to get an estimated time, or a front desk agent can store your luggage.
Cmc1, thank you for your question! When making a reservation, you have the option to add breakfast to your reservation or you are always welcome to pay directly in the restaurant or charge it to your room at the hotel. There are plenty of nearby options but if you do make it to our restaurant for breakfast, I would highly recommend our lemon soufflé pancakes! :)
Jeff,
We allow up to two pets per room and collect a one-time $50 non-refundable pet fee. We will allocate you a room on the first floor to ensure easy access to and from the room and grounds area.
Thank you
