Imagine a Yacht club in the middle of the desert -- this is it! There are over 10,500 members worldwide and this adds to it's strange charm. The rooms are in mobile homes, half a mobile for each place, all named after famous ships. There is also a 36 ft power boat that is also rented as motel rooms. The...

This "motel" is actually a collection of old single wide mobile homes. Each one is split into two halves. Your room at the yacht club is basically half of an old single wide mobile home. The "Yacht Club" part comes from the rooms each having names of famous old ships, an old MacGregor sailboat on a trailer parked out front,...

We picked this place not only because of location on trip back to Cali from New Mexico But because it intrigued us We were on a 15 day trip and wanted something fun and different This fit the bill! Great price, three of us were in the nautilus room and two in the SS Minnow which were attached rooms of...

The Quartzsite Yacht Club Motel is a collection of nautically themed trailers in the middle of the desert. The accommodations are basic--no telephones in the rooms, limited cable tv, refrigerator and microwave. The air conditioner is noisy, but the staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are immaculate. Not a place to stay if you are expecting 5 star...

I just needed a room to cool off and take a nap in during road trip and heat wave. Attendant was not very nice. She complained that I woke her up and whined about hurt shoulder and snapped at me when she didn't understand me. Shower was hot only, but I poured cool water from the sink over my head...

This was a great place to spend the night on the drive back from California to Phoenix. The manager does an amazing job -- the place was spotless and delicious coffee was ready first thing. Highly recommend.

What a brilliant place. A set of trailer homes, all pale blue and white and decked out with nautical fripperies, set out beside the old road in the baking Arizona desert miles from any water. Not a dull person in the place; happily we did not run into any of the several curmudgeonly reviewers who clearly value predictability and blandness...

We ended up stopping in Quartzsite on our way back from Sedona when it was too late to make it all the way home. We always look for places with character, so we figured we’d give the Yacht Club a try. Each motel room was a famous “ship” located in a “slip” that was actually a portion of a mobile...

Although I was just passing through, I was pleased that I chose to stay here instead of the chain motels located close by. I was greeted very warmly and treated like an old friend from the moment I arrived. Fancy? No, but pretty clean (it's in the desert - so this is an accomplishment, in my book) definitely more roomy...
