I didn't stay at the lodge as I went backpacking up Cave Creek Canyon. My colleague did stay the night and was very happy with the simple rooms- 'all you need'.

The rooms are pretty basic. Apparently (by reading other reviews) there are some differences. My room had in-room coffee and a microwave, but no refrigerator (might be worth asking if one is available if you need a refrigerator). The wifi was surprisingly good.
