This Baymont hotel has been recently updated. The room was clean and smelled good. The amenities were standard for an economy hotel. Due to Covid-19, no breakfast was available but there is a IHOP with in walking distance. My only concern was that the immediate area is not the best.
Carpet on the stairs needed to be cleaned, room had laminate and I felt OK being barefoot in the room. Staff were friendly and helpful. However... The linens smelled amazing, I’m not generally into smells and prefer unscented everything, but wow! I have no idea what they use for detergent but I want to wear it as a perfume.
People were not using proper mask when entering the hotel, smoke free? Not at all people were smoking mariguana in the rooms. One person hanging around with the from desk clerk was not wearing a mask at any time.
First, the property does not have an elevator. If you're handicapped like me, and get the second floor like us, it is a real hassle. The "Suite" is actually two adjoining rooms. The just took the be out of one and put in a sofa. Everything else is the same. Maintenance was terrible. Toilet seats were dangerously loose and the smoke detector was installed still in the plastic bag it comes in!! Also, no real help available. Front desk people always on their phones. Never again!!!
This hotel is motel 6 with a different name. Rooms are small our was dirty even sheets and pillow cases stained. No elevator and sketchy neighboorhood. Check in out was easy but still very overpriced for what we recieved.
