Was very happy my company upgraded me from Motel 6 on account of refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and eating/cooking utensils as requested. My room was very comfortable and the front desk especially Jamaine was most helpful and friendly. My only complaints were smoke smell upon entering room though sleeping area was better and check in was a bit rough. The same thing happened three years ago, my company reserved several rooms for my coworkers and I and provided a credit card which the front desk was unable to use to pay for lodging without calling our manager after hours and making him go on line to fix what could have been arranged when reservation was made. This took 30 minutes and was altogether unnecessary, especially because it’s happened before.
The kitchen was filthy, grease stains and crumbs everywhere. The bathroom even worse, toilet speckled in someone else's digestive troubles. The kitchenware I was given was half washed. The air conditioning only made the room humid. To top it off I was greeted by bed bugs when attempting to brave sleeping in the bed. Please don't do this to yourself or your family.
Upon arrival a Lyft driver pulled up in front of the hotel and a person stopped him and started dropping F Bombs towards the driver. We had to ring door bell to get into the lobby and the front desk person came on over a speaker... "yea... what do you want"? Nice reception. Had to go into box mounted on the pillar outside to talk reception to inform them we were there to check in. All the while the altercation outside escalated with the person throwing his body on the front hood of the lyft drivers car. We were let in with the door locking behing us. Finally felt a little safe. We approached the front counter to check in. We gave the necessary Identification and keys were handed out to us. The reception explained their policy and that "nomally we add a damage deposit to the rooms, but you people don't look like you are going to cause any damage so we are waiving the fee!" Gee.... thanks! I assume you have had this problem before? What were we getting ourselves into here? We left the building to see the LYFT driver backing up with the man on his hood falling off. Seriously we thought the camera's were going to come out of the bushes filming a movie! NOpe.... this was real live PD LIVE stuff. Our rooms were well the pictures tell the story. Fridge on a dolly that had not been instaled left in the middle of the room, bathroom door would not close because it hit the toilet, and the bed only fit in the corner and we had to hop over each other to go to bed. …
The front desk got our reservation wrong and was unwilling to accommodate any way to fix it. Three people in a row came in and all had wrong reservations. The front desk was unwilling to help. After they offered us the king room For six people the next man who came in and had a reservation and he was told they didn’t have any rooms at all. The man asked for a bag of chips since he booked through Expedia and the women refused him and said those are for customers who book through Expedia. The front desk attendant was smoking right in front of the front foo was you come in. There is a smoking area right there where you are unloading your baggage. Overall bad hotel. Don’t book here... well if you do just hope they get it right. They did release our booking so we could get our money back.…
Let me start with the good. I was here for two weeks and never felt unsafe, although I was approached twice from supposed guests who asked for money in the parking lot. The room I was finally put in was old, but clean, the bed was comfy, and the ability to have kitchen to cook for myself in during long stays is a major plus. The staff was neither friendly nor unfriendly, just the professional good evening or a nod of the head. I had very little interaction with them. Now lets talk about the scarey. When I arrived I was given a key to a room that upon entering I found a man dressed in full biomedical cleaning gear, aspiratior, white disposable gowns, etc. and a huge fan, large heating machine cleaning the room. Yikes. Went down and got another room, which was three doors from the first one. Checked for bugs, because that was my first concern, and found none. Front desk told me the cleaning fellow was there because the previous person had been there for quite some time and never requested housekeeping. Ok, I get it, you need major cleaning and fumigationfor a long occupied 'smokers' room. But it doesn't stop there. One day 5 I come back in to find a completely different room fully sealed off with heavy plastic and tape large sign indicating any person entering must be in full protective gear. HUH? A second room like that? I can buy the 'long term guest' excuse for the first room, but can't fathom is in a second room, requiring a complete seal. Then to see a biomedical disposal company, loading bright red bags into clearly marked biomedical disposal cans was a bit much. Luckily I was scheduled to check out the next day. Had I not I would have moved hotels. One can only imagine what it going on that not only one but TWO rooms (that I was aware of) require such drastic clean up.…
