Sun at (small) pool is limited to early hours (before 10:30am) and only hits a small corner angle of the pool area. The rest of the day, the pool is in full shade. Restaurant downstairs is cool, but does not open until 5pm, currently. No breakfast options, but there is a Starbucks on site. Awakened to several gunshots, sirens, and hours of yelling on the streets below. Hotel staff is very nice and workout room is well appointed.
Just stayed 2 nights for business at this hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful, hotel is beautiful, and my room was very clean and comfortable. Loved the comfortable bed, quiet room, great water pressure and Aveda amenities. There is food delivery from 11 am onward, and a Starbucks. The bistro is closed but looks really nice. I spent a lot of time working but for what I needed in a business hotel, this hit the mark. I would definitely return.
I booked the room last minute as I had to fly there to help my daughter who had been in an accident. I wasn’t sure how long I would be there and they were very accommodating when I needed to extend my stay. They were able to provide us with a wheelchair and move us to a handicap accessible room. They made an unpleasant situation a lot easier. Every hotel employee I encountered was polite, friendly and helpful. After checking out, while at the airport I realized I didn’t have my ipad. I called the hotel and they located it and called me back before I was on my plane letting me know they had it and they would be sending it me FedEx. I had it the next day. I am in sales and customer service is important to me. They truly provide excellent customer service and that goes a long way! The hotel was beautiful and clean and within walking distance of many good restaurants and a grocery store A++…
The best thing about the hotel was the customer service. The front desk was exceptionally friendly and customer focused. The hotel lobby, restaurant/bar and main areas were well decorated and a great welcome walking in after a long day. The hubby and I had a great time grabbing drinks and snacks at the bar downstairs. The room itself was nice and clean with comfortable beds but ours didn't seem updated as others have reported- they actually resembled a Courtyard (great but no frills). Perhaps the one thing I'd improve on was parking. We were there for three days and not once could we park in the hotel parking as it was full. We had to walk across the street to park - not far at all but I would have anticipated a little discount on the daily parking cost. All in all, I'd stay here again - good value for the location and hotel itself.…
As with all Marriott hotels, face masks are required in the public areas. The hotel is located in downtown Phoenix. There is a parking garage attached to the hotel. I was able to self park for $20 a day. I believe valet parking is also available during certain times. Checking in was a breeze and the young lady who checked us in was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well decorated. There is free unsecured WiFi. There is a safe and small fridge in the room. Small coffee maker with coffee and two tea choices. I love the Aveda toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap. The bed was comfortable. The shower was fantastic. There are two shower heads. This may seem silly to some but I like a shower that doesn't spray water outside of the shower on the floor. This shower keeps the water in the shower. There is a Starbucks in the lobby and a Dunkin Donuts across the street. The hotel bar/restaurant is open but seating is spaced 6 feet apart.…
