Needed a place for three nights in the West Phoenix area, spent a couple of hours reading reviews, and booked a place near the Airport. After reading more reviews I cancelled the reservation and booked the La Quinta Inn & Suites. The price was reasonable, check-in was flawless, room was clean, nice towels, and a breakfast bag was provided that includes juice, microwaveable breakfast sandwich, etc. Did not see any sketchy people inside, and the hotel cannot control who is lurking outside. Bed was on the soft side, and I prefer firm, and blackout curtains did not seem to cover the entire windows. A/C worked fine, and we used the fridge and microwave. Would stay there again.
Sketchy neighborhood, prostitutes where in the lobby and in the parking lot. Hallways were dirty, whole hotel reeked of weed. Ceiling in the bathroom looked like it was going to cave in. Very loud at night.
We had to move from out first room because it smelled like smoke, the bed looked like it wasn't't fish linens, and the nightstand appeared to be dirty from a spilled drink that was never cleaned. I would expect all surfaces to be cleaned with some sort of disinfectant during these times. It was very loud from vehicles outside throughout the night.
If you like hookers and prostitutes this is your hotel. Also if you like all the doors locked except for one exit this is also your hotel. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had and I do not recommend it. I drove up at 7 PM and they were eight hookers in the parking lot with three different Pimps! As I nervously parked my truck I saw the security guard walk up and give one of the hookers a hug! This place is disgusting dirty and unsafe stay away from here it’s all I can recommend!
Sketch neighborhood. They do at least have a night security guard that walks/drives around the building. We have a 26’ moving truck with a car on a trailer behind it plus our other car so having the security guy makes me more comfortable with having our whole lives in the parking lot next to a bus stop. However, inside... terrible. Dirty. Old. Smelly. Hallways need to be vacuumed, badly. The elevator floor had crap on it. Our dogs found peanuts on the floor in the stairwell...they’re clearly trying to hide the cigarette smoke. Two stars for the security guy outside and a room that appears clean. We picked here last minute based off google review of 4 stars. This is not a 4 star hotel.
