I really like what they're doing here. Rehabbing an old hotel into a fun new spot is admirable, and despite some of the issues that come with mid-century floor plans, they've been mostly successful. The attention to detail here is not quite A material, but again, I can look past it for a fresh vibe and awesome on-site restaurant, etc....

Thank you so much for your review, I appreciate it! Now that we're recovered from that pesky recession, we've been putting more money into the hotel. We're family and friends owned and operated, so we're not as deep-pocketed as those big franchises out there. With that said, we're replacing carpet, repainting rooms, putting new Tuft & Needle mattresses in, and...

The Clarendon Hotel & Spa is a great value. It may be overlooked because it is a few blocks off the main drag of Central Ave in Phoenix. But that has advantages, as well, like free, on-street parking. It is an older property, more of a boutique hotel. It is clean and well-appointed. The suites are spacious. The on-site restaurant...

Have stayed here several times due to proximity to mid-town/downtown attractions like Comerica theater. This is my first review of the Clarendon. This is not really something I'd compare to a Hilton or Marriott, as the Clarendon is really not "conventional" and offers a very different vibe. The Pro's - a nice little courtyard pool area, an awesome rooftop bar...

I arrived late for check in, and under a lot of stress, They all quickly fulfilled ALL my needs, especially, Aubrey (night shift). Unbelievably kind, she is a keeper. I've had one of the worst months of my life, I really needed this and truly grateful. Major props!👍

First off this is my First Trip Advisor review ever I'm not one to write reviews but due to the Extremely high level of Costumer service we received I felt a need to. Booked a Stay at the Clarendon for a guys trip to see some Live sports, a few rounds of golf and some much needed R&R. When seeing...

Was pretty nice for one nights stay after the concert. Pretty clean and comfy and located close to anything you need. The staff service was very cordial as well! Much better than I expected and seen in the pics.

They are a one person show most of the time. I tried to pre-pay 5 rooms for multiple nights and they made it impossible!!! I was using them as "overflow" for over 30 rooms down the road at the Hilton. Hilton was so easy to deal with. You call here and they put you on hold or ask you to...

Diane, I'm not sure what you mean by calling us a 1-man show... the issue we ran into with your reservations was that you were trying to pre-pay for reservations with a card where you did not have matching signatures - they weren't even close. In the best interest of protecting the identity of our guests and not allowing fraudulent...

The Clarendon Hotel is a very expensive motel-like experience in a non-descriptive area in Phoenix. Rooms are very basic with no frills and a bathroom so small, I felt I was in an old school hostel in New York City. No place to keep toiletries and dispensaries for shampoo made it feel very industrial. The air conditioning made a loud...

Thank you for staying with us - and I'm sorry to hear that you didn't find value in the overall experience at The Clarendon. I'd like to at least take a moment to clarify that we're not a motel - that would be a lodging experience where guest rooms open to the parking lot (Motel = Motor Hotel), or where...

I would give it another star if it were not for the blaring music provided by an annoying DJ at the pool Sunday. I needed to rest, and the blaring music would not permit rest at the pool or even in my nearby room. That said, I loved the place otherwise. Mostly nice staff, great food, nice rooms, and an...

Thank you for staying with us Dominic - as the owner of The Clarendon Hotel and Spa as soon as I read your review I jumped into action and made sure that the staff knows that only 'chill' and 'downtempo' relaxing poolside music should be played by the DJs. I don't want this being a crazy uncontrollable poolside party scene,...
