The CAMBY is amazing for its attention to detail during this time of caution due to COVID. They have anticipated every detail as ones health and safety precautions, hygene and comfort. Shout out to the safe feeling of a business respecting ones every need to feel safe and secure in a home away from home. Extra special thanks to Julianna and her staff as their excellent customer service skills. She is the BEST at making you feel like you've made the correct hotel choice!
The good: The first impression of the hotel is great, it's beautiful and modern. Check in staff very pleasant and efficient as are the staff working the entrance of the hotel. The bad: My floor smells of marijuana I am a hearty breakfast kind of a person and despite the hotel being full, it's only grab and go options. Grab and go is a little on the steep side price wise for what it is. Taste is fine but not great value. Titanium elite recognition - the worst of all possible hotel rooms - right by the elevators, no upgrade, nothing else discernible for loyalty. No breakfast option to select, given 750 points. No bathtub so relaxing products brought along are useless. What kind of a room do you get with no loyalty with Marriott??? The ugly: Terrible night lacking in sleep, feel like crap today. Basically the doors have a significant crack at the side and bottom so people chattering in the hall may as well be sitting in bed with you - and of course I got a lot of thoroughfare thanks to the Titanium recognition of being right by the elevators. Woken repeatedly in the night due to no sound proofing and room with high traffic. Went off in search of ear plugs today and hoping my second night is not as bad. It would be great if a sincere effort was made towards recognizing guests especially given the hotel is not low occupancy and can't make the excuse of barely surviving as a reason to be cheap. Bonvoyed again.…
My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights. And let me say, our first impression was WOW! When you first drive up, there’s always hotel staff member waiting outside to greet you. They have valet parking, a little pricy for over night. Main lobby was modern and very clean. Staff wearing masks at all times. Very friendly and accommodating. The room had very unique design. Overall we were very satisfied and would recommend to stay here.
Loved the modern design and good location of this hotel. The staff is friendly and the rooms are updated. Ours had a nice view of the mountains in the distance and was incredibly quiet. We ate outdoors at restaurants across the street at the Biltmore Fashion Park due to covid, but the hotel does have a nice bar and restaurant. We came during the recent snowstorms and we liked it so much we stayed an extra day! For Marriott members: concierge club is suspended due to covid, but they do add points to your account. Will stay again on our way east!
I visited Phoenix for the weekend and wanted to find a centrally located hotel that was still in a safe area for a solo female traveler. The Camby was perfect. My room had a beautiful view of the Camelback Mountains. The Camby is also located directly across from a mall that had a variety of shops and restaurants to eat at. Automatically needing to valet your car takes away the worries of me needing to park my car and walk through a parking lot or garage alone, and is as easy as texting your valet number to the desk and your car is ready by the time you come downstairs. The Camby is beautifully decorated with iconic art pieces. I found myself just walking around the hotel to see all of them. The staff is incredibly friendly from the welcoming valet to the concierges.
