recently stayed here (Super Bowl weekend) and the place is clean, spaced, and beautiful. felt very safe and everything was spotless. good food at pool! Great hiking right across the street. I would highly recommend this resort to friends and family.
My family of myself, husband, and two daughters (12 & 13) stayed for three nights at the end of August. We had a room with two queens (standard, not deluxe) C160. The Oasis Waterpark was very a very close walk and the Camelback pool was right outside our door. It was great! There was zero view out on the back patio, literally looking up at cars parked in the parking lot, but we were not there for the view and appreciated the much better room rate. The area around the Camelback pool more than made up for the lack of any view from the patio. Not to mention, no noise! I don’t know if the walls are made of concrete or what but we heard zero noise from the guests next door, from the pool, or from the parking lot. Despite the summer heat (114 degrees), the room was nice and cool. It has the beds and tv in one room with the bathroom and vanity (apart from shower and toilet), and a sitting room with small minibar, table and chairs, and chairs and pullout couch with tv. We really liked this set up! The Camelback pool was practically empty when the waterpark was open and not too crowded otherwise (pool open 6am to 10pm). The Oasis Waterpark was a lot of fun. It might be a stretch to call it a “waterpark” but it does have two killer slides, a more modest slide, a lazy river, a wave pool, and a regular pool. It was fairly crowded. Don’t go expecting to have all kinds of Covid safety and then complain - it’s a waterpark and people do get near you and don’t have on masks since they are mostly in the water. But everyone was pretty chill. The employees (even life guards) do wear masks. They were super polite and friendly. Saturday was the most crowded, with the Friday and Sunday crowds being much lighter. Best day to go would be mid-week if you want to avoid people. Food ridiculously expensive. Just leave and go back as there were plenty of chairs and umbrellas and towels everywhere. The waterpark hours are reduced during Covid but we’re plenty for us. Parking is free but hard to find during waterpark hours. We really had a great experience here. It is an older place but it was clean and the room size was fantastic. If you are like us and can get a great rate, and save money by eating off site, it is a great deal! We would definitely go back and definitely recommend it. …
Big disappointment. We read so many positive reviews -not sure where they came from. Reserved a one bedroom Villa and added a Secunderabad bedroom. We decided to splurge since we had not vacationed the past year due to the pandemic. Here are a few things that have happened (we are still here 😣): -Refrigerator did not work in Villa; manager said sorry and said they would give us one free night. But no fixed refrigerator. We intentionally reserved a room with a full fridge due to a family of 4. Next day refrigerator still not working asked to be moved. -Sink backed up in second bathroom full of black sand. No fix. -No pans or cookware - you must ask for it and what they provide isn’t enough to actually utilize the kitchen. - Cockroach in second room -Someone’s swim trunks left on our patio (not ours). 3 calls before they came to get them -Not heating hot tubs in other pools to conserve gas -Pools are filthy dirty -Hotel room dirty -Ice machine 1/4 mile from room (Villas only), single rooms look to have one on each floor. Bottom line, we will NEVER EVER stay in this hotel or any of their hotels again. It could be a beautiful hotel but it has been sadly neglected and needs a lot of love to be to the point it should be for the prices they charge. We are disgusted that we did not research a little better.…
We stayed at the Arizona Grand over the holidays, and were not disappointed. We splurged and got a villa suite - huge! Our kids still talk about it and wish “all of our hotel rooms were like that!” The king bed was comfy and the walk-in shower was ginormous! Had it been at a different time of year and warmer, my husband and I would have definitely sat on the patio, overlooking the golf course, with a couple cocktails before bed. I did manage to stay awake til midnight on New Year’s Eve and see fireworks from at least two different places on the horizon. What I loved about this hotel, was how much greenery they have everywhere. Even though it’s a pretty big resort, all of the different areas have all of their own swimming pools that are tucked away, behind shrubbery in private courtyards. Even if this resort had a ton of guests staying there, it would still not feel crowded with how spread out it is and how many trees/shrubs they have to separate things, if that makes sense. My daughter and I had fun exercising our legs and exploring all of the fun stairs/fountains/secret pathways between each building. The waterpark was right next door to our villa, which was wonderful. The waterpark was one of the main reasons we chose the Arizona Grand. It was, indeed, grand. What was the best part, though, was that we were there during the pandemic, so there were no crowds and no lines. The weather was high sixties/low 70’s, a little chilly for swimming outside, but we’re from Minnesota, so we have tough skin. The hot tub helped. We also got a cabana. It was nice to have a private place to leave our things while we swam. The cabana had a table and chairs, a/c when it’s warmer, a shelf, and lounge chairs right outside it. I can’t remember if there was a fridge. It didn’t have a safe, which would have been nice, but it wasn’t the be all and end all. It would have been nice to visit one of the restaurants, but totally understandable that they are closed right now. I researched this beforehand, so knew they would be closed and planned accordingly, stopping at a grocery store to stock up our kitchen when we got to the resort. The staff was friendly, the facilities were clean. All in all, it was a great stay and I would highly recommend the Arizona Grand for any kind of trip! …
We came with our 3 daughters to celebrate our anniversary for a few days. Everything about our stay was incredible! The front desk gal was friendly and helpful. She gave us suggestions for our stay and gave us maps of the property, etc. We were upgraded to a room in the Camelback building with a view of the Oasis Waterpark and our girls were squealing with delight! No daily housekeeping, but they brought us fresh towels each day and were quick whenever we had a need. We had a few random requests and they were fulfilled immediately. Oasis was only open 2 of the 4 days we were there, but our girls enjoyed the smaller pools almost as much as the water park, so we didn’t mind. The food at the water park was a bit pricey, but the nachos were well worth the cost! Delicious!! We cannot wait to return! Thank you!!…
