Recently relocated back to Phoenix and need a longer stay type living until my apartment was ready. Upon pulling into the parking lot were 2 Phoenix police vehicles parked in front of the front office. This hotel will mislead you as it does not look like your common nasty motel 6 from the outside building but you will be sadly lead into the opposite once inside. Parking lot is often scatter with trash from homeless digging through the garbage. Homeless camp are throughout the surrounding area of hotel. Armed security is the norm here. Hotel maintenance will mop hallway floors with an extreme amount of bleach to cover up the cigarette smell and marijuana smell. This is not a place for children period very unsafe. More then numerous times I’ve used the stairwell to avoid being asked in the elevator if I need “company”, want to buy drugs or an electric toothbrush... only to find that’s the hang out because there are no cameras in them and people use it to do drugs or god knows what else (reference the pictures I’ve taken) Management is well aware of the problems here but knows that these type of people finds this place to keep its doors open because the general public is drawn away from here due to how bad it is. Again avoid this place at all cost! If you do chose to stay here proceed with extreme caution and stay alert because it’s around every corner here.

We went with the 4 star reviews and location for this place. Upon arrival, we found it to be very busy, but thought it was a little strange that we were the only folks with luggage. The lobby area was crowded with people, many of whom were young children. The receptionist was friendly and checked us in quickly. On our way to the room we encountered many people waiting for elevators, noisy hallways full of loitering people, kids screaming and running unattended, open doors that revealed rooms obviously occupied by numerous tenants (not guests), dirt and trash prevalent in common areas, and a strong smell of cigarette smoke everywhere. Our room reeked of who-knows-what. I could feel every spring through the mattresses. The bedding was ominous, not inviting. The noise from the hall and adjoining rooms showed no signs of letting up. To say we were shocked and disappointed is an understatement. We went to the desk and requested a refund. The clerk said she was sorry we were not happy. She advised she could not process a refund until later but would do so today. Ok. We'll see. All in all, the feel of the place was that of a noisy tenament house or low cost apartment building. All we saw there were young people in their 20s, most of whom had young children. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, quiet place to stay while visiting Phoenix, look elswhere. If you are short of cash and looking for a place to crash for however long, this is your place.

First and most important, drug cartels and sex trafficking. They have armed security but the dealers and cartel members have them clocked. Transient activity is high. Many robberies. Police sometimes pull through to no avail as all dealers have lookouts. Management offers cash payment and this enables very poor individuals to flock here. I have seen security guards walk the hallway one minute and as soon as they leave, human trafficking and drug dealers commence. The place smells like pee and I have seen someone poop under a stairwell. There are tenants that have lived here for multiple years. They treat common areas like a trash bin. Management has been known to throw parties in vacant units that are supposed to be “blocked out” for maintenance. Children’s screams and domestic violence are common here. There was a homeless camp in the parking lot and so many prostitutes and drug addicts flocked here. As soon as the city took it down, another popped up. It is obvious that the management only cares about filling the rooms and not who they rent them too. Stay away. Unless you are a drug dealer. Then you have free range to roam.

This place is OK, nothing special. The room was a reasonable size and clean. There is a stove and full size refrigerator. But you must supply your own dishes, cutlery, etc. There may be an opportunity to"rent" these items. The rooms are serviced every two weeks. The front desk is supposedly open 8:00 am -:8:00 pm but often the desk was closed and you have to track them down. If you check in late, be prepared for a 20 - 30 minute wait after you contact them on the phone in the lobby. The place is a bit tricky to find. After exiting I-10 onto N 43rd, take the first left (before McDowell and go through the supermarket parking lot, turn right and follow the drive to the property. I would recommend this place if you're OK with long term residences with limited amenities and house keeping.
