Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lunch stop! Very cool! The sea was quite strong at the time we went with string waves but that didn’t stop us from filling out toes in while we waited for our lunch. Nice spot and location surrounded by very cool fales. Great food and great staff.

We had a fabulous 5 night stay here. Very comfortable beachfront fale with good matress, mosquito net and waterproof when there was a downpour. We arrived late and dinner and smiling faces awaited us. Sina and her crew took the best care of us. Anything we asked they were so keen to help. The meals were great. Many day trippers from Apia hire a fale for the day and eat a delicious lunch at the restaurant. The breeze is cooling, the water warm. Great veiws of the small island off the coast. Crashing surf on the reef. Handy to Sua trench and Namua Island tour. We loved our stay, everything was clean and we felt happy and safe. Thank you for the best time!! Highly recommend.

We stayed one night at Anita's in an open fale. Food for dinner and breakfast was plentiful and a wide variety of dishes. The beach was great, huge waves when we arrived that our teenage daughters loved swimming in.

Anita is a wonderful place to experience a Samoan fales stay. The dinners and breakfasts were exceptional, delicious and extremely generous. We enjoyed great hospitality, felt very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Anita is a must.

We wanted to try something really remarkable and traditional during our short road trip across Upolu island. So we have chosen a beach Fale as an accomodation for us. What an adventure - mostly for our 1,5 year old daughter. She liked the manager’s cats and walking in a sand, plus evening swimming. The food was great too and Lolamu beach was beautiful. Everything so cute and photogenic - even in the rain. We spent a night in a very intimate atmosphere under the mosquito net and listened to the sound of sea - just few meters from us. Very recommended experience.

We just returned from the most beautiful week at Anita's Beach Bungalows and wanted to share our experience and some photos of our magical week with Tautala and her family. This place is just wonderful! You should stay there! My husband and I just spent a glorious week at Anita's as part of our honeymoon. I cannot recommend it enough! Tautala, who owns and runs Anita's, welcomed us with open arms and showered us with love and care all week. She has a lot of experience running resorts in Australia and you can tell. Her fine attention to detail, to cleanliness, to the needs of her guests - it was outstanding. And the family that works with her were so kind. We felt like a part of her family the moment we arrived and honestly cried to leave them all a week later! Our open fale on the beach was gorgeous - waking up to the sunrise on Lalomanu Beach everyday and swimming in that magnificent water - wow. They helped us keep the water out when it rained so we always stayed cozy and dry (even though we were visiting in rainy season- it was really no big deal!). And the food, my goodness! Breakfast and dinner were provided in our stay and they were feasts of delicious fresh Samoan food, a wide assortment of dishes, all amazing. Tautala was also so helpful with sharing Samoan culture and history, places to see and things to do. But there were many days we had to just stay at Anita's because it was so extremely lovely! Thank you Tautala, and to your wonderful family on the beach, for all the love & care, for everything you shared with us. We so hope to return soon! We love you!

Any length of time spent at Anita's is worth your while. A warm welcome with an invigorating discussion with Josh the barman is to be had. As is good food and drink and the fale is less than 15 metres from a fantastic swimming beach. For some real rest and relaxation, check it out.

Dropped in for lunch on a group tour. Asked for a cheeseburger and a fishburger. Sorry, no fish left. Cheese and tomato sandwich ? No tomato. Cheese sandwich ? No cheese. They got quite upset when we decided to cancel our order.

Talofa! Wow that is a sad lunch. But I believe you have mistaken us for another place. We have never run out of fish, tomatoes or cheese. Fish, tomatoes fresh coconut cream are the ingredients for our main Samoan dish oka (raw fish) so yes impossible to not have it. Otherwise hope you enjoyed your trip to Samoa. 😊

We stayed three nights and we really liked it. The beach is beautiful, the mattresses in the Fales are very comfy. The food is good and they were flexible with preparing vegetarian food for us as well as an early breakfast at the day we had to left to catch the bus. There are only three Fales and two cabins, so its very familiar. For eating we stayed all together at one big table: that was fun :) Also the bathroom is very clean. All in all: Perfect for having a relaxed and basic Fale stay at beautiful Lalomamu Beach!
