I wanted a 'beach holiday', we researched online to see what we could find, and we found Sa'Moana Resort in Samoa. What a find!!! If you want a quiet, peaceful beach holiday, this is the place!! We organized for transport from the resort to pick us up at the airport, and were so glad we did, as the taxi drivers...

This is our 2nd visit to Samoa, this time with a 1.5 year old. This was a great spot if you plan to just stay here for a few days. It is a little out of the way if you need to go into Apia, or some of the places on the south east coast ie black sand beach, Sua...

We honeymooned at Sa’Moana for 6 nights last week (November 2014). It was superb; the fales are waterfront and very private. It was clean, comfortable and really relaxing. My husband and I had the best of both worlds; he was able to surf while I chilled out in luxury. The sunsets were like something from a movie set, it was...

Sa'moana is beautiful and the genuinely friendly staff are what really make it. I got quite sick when I was here (not because of them, a parasite I'd picked up earlier) and they really looked after me, giving me free coconuts to rehydrate me and a late check-out, as well as just calming my nerves and telling me I'll be...

We stayed back in 2010 and the resort and rooms have been completely refurbished since then. They've also extended the outdoor dining area and added a games room with a million dollar view! It’s a small place and we love this the most. You can hang at the beach, in a hammock, or your deck, and even when they're full...

We (5 adults and 2 boys under 7) spent 8 days here and it was absolutely incredible. The staff are fantastic, the food is fresh, delicious and enough variety to get through our time without trying everything - same with the kids meals. The location is incredible, away from it all and beautiful. The tours are great and a good...

My family of 6 had a fantastic stay here. Great accom, great food, all reasonably priced. The location is postcard perfect. All the staff and guides are so friendly and love to answer questions about the beautiful Samoan culture. Would recommend the day trips with the resort and the wonderful Tala. You get to see so much more than you...

We have just returned form an enjoyable holiday in Samoa where we made some wonderful friends. I have been there many times so knew what to expect but this was our first time at Sa'moana Resort. Considering they charge a premium we were disappointed with the lack of beach loungers, the price of food (they know they have you captive...

Samoana Resort was a bit of a last minute choice for us, and we are so happy we stumbled across it! After being really disapointed with a booking up the road, following a day of broken down rental cars and a heap of driving, we decided to move on to stay at another place. When we were about to give...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a small 3.5 star remote, idyllic beach resort located at the end of the long, windy Salamumu beach road (about 6km track off main road). Our simple colorful wooden bungalows are all absolute beach front with their own private outdoor lava rock bathroom, private deck and of course fabulous beach and Pacific Ocean views. We are the perfect location for active families, couples and singles who want to totally switch off from the World for the length of their stay and be "Off The Grid" and see the real Samoa and maybe want something a little different from the standard "out of the brochure" vacation. We have an all-day bar and restaurant with comfortable seating for a sunset cocktail, good music including traditional Samoan tunes and great vibes. All our staff are local so can share their knowledge of the best places to visit, and the stories of the real Samoa. We do a weekly cultural show and a traditional Samoan Fire Dance and Haka display every Thursday - free to our guests. Guests are welcome to surf out front - its intermediate to advanced level and you need to bring your own board. Surf Tours can be arranged with local operators when you are here. There are several within 20/30 minutes of our resort. Car hire is highly recommended so you get to see the best of our beautiful island and discover your own magical parts of it - we can recommend lots for you to do and provide a map and some local advice. Please note we are not near any public transport, shops or other resorts / restaurants - we are literally a tropical island hideaway! If this is what you seek - you won't be disappointed! ... more   less
