What a wonderful experience. Amazing beach and snorkelling, excellent food and friendly welcoming staff. Our kids enjoyed hanging with the local family, thanks Tom, Walter and Bill. Such a relaxing 'real' Samoa experience in every way.

Beautiful location, lovely people. The picture of the fale did not match the reality. The picture showed a mattress with lovely white sheets and flowers to welcome. The sheets were old and slightly stained and there was no welcoming flowers. It was a rather hard mattress to sleep

Not easy to find but worth the visit. You pay at the gate if you are in a vehicle, so we paid $20 tala for our van. Every piece of land is owned by someone, so make sure you take small denominations of tala (the currency used in samoa). We paid $150 tala for two people to slee

The first sign that you are heading somewhere private is the bumpy road to the beach. Matareva Beach Fales are private and quiet with the best snorkling right in front.

"fale's are great as you are on the beach but they do have cabins that have air con and separate shower and toilet."
