This was our fourth visit to the Safua Hotel. Our first visit was over 20 years ago. The Safua is currently closed, and only takes guests by special arrangement. We were grateful to be received warmly by the extended family who manage and live in the grounds of the Safua Hotel. The tropical garden setting of the hotel is just...

The Safua was much better than we hoped for. The rooms are just fine, the location in the village of Safua is great, the food is good, the staff are fantastic and the opportunities to see the real Samoa are unrivalled. Chris and his staff and family did a great job of looking after us and our three young children...

We returned to Safua Hotel after an absence of 16 years, this time with teenage children. We were delighted with our stay. Safua Hotel is reasonably basic, but has wonderful staff and atmosphere. The staff provide rich insights into Samoan culture, and are great hosts. The food and evening entertainment were excellent. The fales are set in a beautiful tropical...

I loved my experience at the Safua Hotel. I learnt a lot about Samoan culture and the people who own the hotel are so wonderful and lovely. They make the stay worthwhile. Other activities were offered and you got to watch a traditional feast being prepared then ate it. Also there were singing and dancing during the night and the...

We had an enjoyable experience at the Safua Hotel. We read about it before we booked and went there and it was exactly what we read about. We got to experience the Samoan culture with owner chieftain Moelagi Jackson, ate Samoan food and had spectacular tours of the island. The accommodation were thatched fales or bungalows in garden setting, fans,...
