The place was very dirty looked like it’s not cleaned on a regular basis. I bought supplies and washed bathrooms before showering. The location was great just be sure to bring your own towels that’s not provided if they are we weren’t given any. The fakes were nice just dirty not a great place to stay if u have allergies because it will definitely cause u some problems.

We stayed at Jane’s Beach Fales for only one night . We stayed in the self contained cottage and although cute we wouldn’t have stayed another for several reasons. The bathroom looked liked it hadn’t been cleaned since Covid began. There was an old dirty towel on the floor as a bath mat. Hence I didn’t use the shower there and found the communal one much cleaner. The toilet leaked at the base which we reported. Although we received a clean top sheet for the bed, I’m not sure when the bottom one was last used or pillowcase so the sarongs we travel with came in handy. The lock /handle on the front door was also broken, so they have a few maintenance issues to address. The beach at the front had almost disappeared but the water looked nice and clean. Apart from the negative aspects dinner and breakfast were provided. Ample portion sized Samoan style dinner , and fabulous breakfast with good coffee. The grounds and garden were reasonably maintained. The staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful, they even drove us to our next accommodation. I think with some repairs and maintenance and a good clean, scrub and refresh, this place could be worth some of the great reviews it had in the past. Times have been tough since Covid but no excuse for lazy cleaning.…

We did stop by at random, but enjoyed the place so much that we returned several times in the same week. Great beach, awesome lawn right by the beach to lie down, bar behind you. This time we did not actually stay overnight as we had other accommodation pre-booked. However, next time we will definitely be staying here and enjoy the water, sun and vailima.

We were staying at the fales next door, but saw that Janes had a happy hour. After our first evening there we returned every evening because Ken was so friendly and chill, and made such awesome margaritas. Shot Ken! Thanks!

"Penina" means Pearl in Samoa, the owner, who greeted and made us feel welcomed at the beach resort. We stayed at the brick house (located in the middle) for two nights which cost $90 per head including breakfast and dinner. Service is very good, the workers are very kind. The room was okay. I preferred the outside showers as it is cold (good for your body after sunbathing or soaking in salt water), beds were very comfortable. I brought along my blanket to feel more comfortable at night. There's a lot of tourists attraction nearby such as the Dwarf Cave, Swimming with the turtles, Mountain Village, Lava Field and Mount Matavanu Crater. We went with a group of friends, had so much fun and even tried swimming at 2am under the moon. It was fantastic. Had a such wonderful and memorial weekend at Janes. Thank you again for taking care of us.…

HORRID......We had to stay one night while waiting for available rooms @Stevensons(see review ). We stayed in the apartments. The shower was filthy, with a filthy floor mat, which I assume is what made the shower smell putrid. The tiolet seat was broken and most time wouldn't flush. The beds were full of mites, so bad in the pillows you could hear them rustling around. The grounds outside were littered with rotting food and rubbish, made for 100s of flys, cat poo everywhere and a rooster that crowed from evening to morning, so no sleep. Steer clear, very run down needs a major makeover

The fales are average but the beach is nice, the staff are awesome, the food is really good, the bar is great to hang out and located near the beach and the manager is the most wonderful lady you'll ever meet. Upon our arrival, the manager came out to welcome each member of our group and was so nice.

Janes Beach Fales are supurb - I stay here for 1 or 2 months every year. I would recommend this resort - rate it 20/10!! Beach is incredible - meals are great- facilities are a bit dated but clean & tidy. For the price this is the BEST resort in Savaii. It is wonderful - hate having to leave & come home!! Would recommend the cottage with full facilities for the extra price.

We should listen to recommendation from locals and go next door to Tailua Beach Fales. Janes Beach Fales is sort of run down and not well looked after. Broken glass bottle on the beach in front of our fale. The fale itself is run down, very hot and sticky inside. The mosquito need repairs and a wash! Luckily we brought our own pillows. The provided pillows were smelly. Food was very average. We were threaded like second class guests because the other couple got additional food and taros offered although we sit next to them. Bar was mostly closed and the person who run the bar was sleeping on the floor in the bar area. Toilet and shower were average and not looked after. Conclusion: We will not stay at Janes Beach Fales again and we cannot recommend this place.

One of the best places I stayed in if short on budget while travelling around Savai'i. We were really taken care of there, breakfast was great and we were granted one of the best fales near the beach. The beaches there was probably one of the best for swimming around the island, kayaks accessible and nice spots for relaxation. We were really glad we found this place.
