We were so lucky to get stuck here- nothing about our trip to Savai'i went to plan, but our unplanned stay at Tanu's was a definite highlight. Staff were friendly and went out of their way (literally) to ensure a great stay. Basic facilities, but what you should be looking for in fale accommodation. Great communal eating spaces, fantastic Samoan...

It was like visiting my family. Management set up our fales while we enjoyed our free and delicious refreshments "pua'aniu" Hardy Polynesian breakfast and dinner of steam rice, fried chicken, vegetable stirfry, with a warm cup of laumoli. Swimming at moonlight, and watching the stars is what I remember when thinking of Tanu Beach Fales. Will definitely stay here again...

Loved the beach front fales, wow what a view. Definitely a more basic way to be on holiday with shared bathroom and showers. Food was plentiful and delicious local style, you certainly don't go hungry. Very little need for lunch, but if so inclined it is a very short walk to the resort next door (100m) and only 5 tala...

We have stay there just for a one night. We got a coconut when we arrived, it was very nice of them. Fale was great, big enaught right next to sea. Sea and beach was amazing and the night sky was unbelivable! Food was realy good! Little bit noisy in the night.

We stayed at Tanu for a week and could have easily stayed longer if we hadn't had done so much swimming & sunbathing already! We were greeted with a cold coconut & some banana's which was a lovely touch. Our fale was right on the waters edge, a huge comfy mattress with a heavy duty mozzie net over the top...

Solo female- booked 3 nights at Tanu beach fales, to my surprise after reading all the good trip advisor comments the resort was absolutely dead. Manase beach is stunning and the food is delicious, however as I was travelling alone and hoping to meet people this was not the ideal place to stay and I decided to forfeit part of...

Everyone should experience Samoa.. Savai'i is the best place to visit if you want to just do nothing. Beaches are beautiful and most importantly warm! Our beach front fale was just perfect, we slept with some of the blinds open and each morning woke up to the sunrise and the sound of the calm waves - it truely was paradise....

The open beach front Fale experience was a highlight of my 2 week journey around Upolo and Savai'i. The fales are right on Manase Beach which is a safe swimming area with fringing reefs....thus great snorkeling too....and unbeatable sunsets. The open fales have woven grass "curtains" you can pull down for privacy or leave open for cooling beezes. The stay...

We feel like part of the family here at Tanu we have been coming back for over 29 years now and will always return. Manase has a beach that ranks in my eyes as one of the most beautiful in the world, crystal clear turquoise water lined with palm trees in a very laid back peaceful setting. Accommodation is basic...
