Having read a few of the more recent reviews on here I may have steered clear of the hostel, but having visited it myself I found it an excellent place to stay and I'm really glad I went there. The staff may well have changed since the reviews a few months ago were written as I found all of them... More

Having booked the accommodation as part of a tour we were stuck in what was the worst hostel I've ever stayed in. The staff are so rude that you just steer clear of them, which may be their intention. The rooms have no ventilation and are very cramped. There is no security which makes the flimsy "locks" on the lockers... More

This is a relatively new and modern hostel. It has a street access but it is hidden from the street behind a medium size hotel. It is located not far from the main touristy area but still within easy walking distance to everywhere. Ushuaia is a small city. There are two floors of dorms and a top floor that has... More

I was there last week, I went straight there thanks to several good reviews I had seen online. I did read about how the staff is very unfriendly before getting there but I ignored it since there were other good reviews. If you are lucky you'll meet lots of nice people, that end up going there. There's a nice view... More

This is a true backpackers hostel, in a fairly central location (though this is not difficult in Ushuaia it’s pretty small!) There are lots of tables and chairs in the downstairs common areas for eating and watching the TV, and a medium sized kitchen (this can get quite busy at “peak” times!) There are three computers in this area for... More

I was pleasantly surprised by this hostel which had excellent services and was overall well organized. I stayed in one of the dorms with private toilets, the rooms were spacious with huge lockers and I loved the floor heating. It can get a bit noisy if your room is close to the stairs (or if someone in your room is... More

real shame about this hostel. we met some very friendly other guests, but the major downer is the noise at night. and when i say noise, i mean banging music until 4.30am in the morning. dont get me wrong, I like a party and i like music, but when I´ve paid 15 GBP for a sleep and dont get it,... We stayed at this hostel because it's part of the Hola hostel group, but it's nothing like the other Hola hostels in South America. The one positive is that the place is very clean. But it is stinking hot inside, and the staff despite numerous requests to turn down the heating, wouldn't do it. Come night time it turns into... More

I went to Ushuaia solo and had the great experience of staying at Freestyle Backpackers. When I arrived, the front desk staff immediately recommended going to the National Park and introduced me to two other solo travelers who I spent the day with hiking and exploring. The hostel owners and employees really fostered a sense of family and encouraged everyone... More

Staff here are very much just doing a job, and obviuosly don't expect or care about any repeat business. They don't care if you have a good stay! 20 peso for a self service laundry service(I previously stayed in the antarctica hostel in ushuaia where it was 25 pesos for a fully serviced wash and dry so this seemed quite...
