Large modern rooms in a convenient location close to the center. The back rooms are cheaper and a lot quieter. Staff is friendly and helpful. Having said that we did not find the town that attractive. Better options in Villa Angostura or San martin de los Andes.

My boyfriend at I had planned on staying at the Edelweiss just two nights (at either end of a three-day trek). Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate, so our multi-day trek transformed into four nights at the Edelweiss and other activities around the area. The folks at the Edelweiss accommodated our every need - the concierge even had his wife bring...

After my first two nights at the Aconcagua Hotel, which I didn't like at all -read my former review-, I spend my last day and night in the Edelweiss. I'm totally happy that I change my mind and spent at least a day in this amazing hotel. From the begining, all the staff was very, very kind and willing to...

We stayed at the edelweiss the week between Christmas and New Years. The hotel was full of arranged tours and the town was packed with students. We had two lakeview rooms for my husband and me and our two teenage children. The TV had about 15 channels in English - luckily because the weather was quite cold. Breakfast at the...

Decent hotel although in need of modernising. Rooms are clean and tidy although bathrooms, reception area, bar etc all very dated. However beautiful pool and spa area. Unfortunately Bariloche is a little bit overbuilt and spoils the natural beauty of the area, therefore views are often obscured. Little bit overpriced but so is most of Bariloche.

I just returned from a 5-day stay at the Edelweiss Hotel in Bariloche. I booked a 2-bed familiy plan room for USD 210/night and got a very nice extra-large room with a dining area and minibar. Bathroom was very clean, a floor heated (which is a must for my wife and two daughters!). Although the hotel boasts a 5-star, I...

Brendan tours booked me here on a locally hosted tour of Chile and Argentina. I was put off by some of the reviews. However they assured me it would be OK. I´ m here now 4/28/08 and have a wonderful room overlooking the lake. It's large and clean. The staff are good English speakers however I can speak Spanish. I...

My boyfriend and I loved the Edelweiss. Our room was facing the street and was quite large, with two queen sized beds and a bay window that added space. There was a seating area with table and chairs and the WC was separate from the shower/tub/sink area. We even had turn-down service and chocolates on our pillows each night that...

We arrived to Bariloche with no reservation made and what a bad idea. After having been to I guess 20 hotels - all saying Bariloche is sold out tonight I saw Edelweis and maybe we paid a little more, but the front line staff were excellent. All from help with restaurants, the best trekking areas, extension of our stay etc...

Room had great view of the lake and mountains, handy walk to most of the town. yes, you could just about hear the bathroom next door if you tried hard. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Didn't try the dinner as the restaurant looked so empty and dull but the light meals in the El Patio bar were fresh and tasty....
