Stayed here on and off for over a week in between treks. Great kitchen, rooms are decent and a nice, relaxed vibe with the long tables in the common area. It is a decent walk to the nearest supermarket or a 15 minute bus into Bariloche but most people are fine with that I assume, better than staying on the...

We stayed in a 4-person basement room at the Alaska Hostel with a private bathroom located just outside the room. Friendly place located a short bus-ride from downtown Bariloche (if you want to be close to downtown, you should look elsewhere) with nice kitchen facilities, simple breakfast (included) but a poor w-fi connection. Impossible to get on the server if...

Javi the owner is the best! So helpful and friendly, the rooms were great, food was great. We stayed like a month here cause we liked it so much. Location is a short bus ride away from Bariloche, and a short walk to a spectacular lake

I stayed here before a backpacking trip with 21 students and 3 other teachers. The Alaska Hostel was the perfect place for us. Javi was so helpful leading up to our trip. He brought me and another teacher to the grocery store when we arrived so that we could get snacks and drinks for the students, he cooked us all...

Stayed 2 noghts with a large group. We upgraded to a private room which wasn't cheap while the others stayed in the dorms. Not a lot of common area space inside and even less outside. Kitchen has the normal facilities but not a lot of equipment if you are doing your own meals. All the floors creak, which was problematic...

Natalia, the host, will make you feel at home very easily. The property has a garden where you can rest, read, cook on the parilla. Inside the rooms are all spacious, made of wood in the local style. People of all countries visit this place, making it easy to meet other travelers. Viva Alaska!

Naty the manager is full of local information, maps and speaks brilliant English which is handy for me :). It's got a great homely feel to place with wood interior and a nice garden to relax in. A great Location...

We have been staying here for years, and we'll keep on doing it! What makes the place special is the people running it: they help us with great explanations about what to do around Bariloche, prepare excellent food and create a kind of warm community atmosphere that really makes the accommodation part of the trip and memories... Hope they'll keep...
