We stayed in this hostel for a couple of nights, in a double room. The room was small and a bit dusty. But, the very helpful and friendly staff and great views made up for that! The breakfast was really minimal, but that's not something special in Argentina I guess..

We loved pudu- best views of the lake out of the big windows in the room, has a cool patio and hangout area with decent kitchen. the guys that run the place are very cool and will help with whatever you need. We left 3 nights for overnight trekking and they held a bag for us and had a room... More

Views from the rooms - sublime. General state and location of the hostel - excellent. Floorboards - very creaky. Staff - very grumpy. Scones - non existent.

This hostel has good potential. the staff are very friendly and the outdoor common area is nice. The kitchen is ok. the rooms seem to all be 6 man dorms with only 4 lockers. our room had an ensuite bathroom (i think this was standard) and it was very run down and dirty. it was not a pleasant experience having... Hostel Pudu is one of my favourite hostels in Sth America. Tomas, the stand in manager was great fun and helpful and the hostel and bedrooms have a brilliant view over the lake. It's definitely worth staying here if you're in Bariloche!

Pudu is fantastic! The new owner is a very accommodating young person - the staff are also very cool, chilled out folks who are happy to help you at any time day or night - whether you need a fresh towel or a fresh beer! 100 metres from the centre of town, buses, the private hospital (for fellow foreigners needing... It's sad that this was the first hostel on our trip because it's going to be hard to beat. The staff were friendly and attentive from the first email, and everyone that was staying there seemed to be very similar types of people - slightly older backpackers and very open and chilled out. Asado night was heaps of fun, and... More

“don't take a room next to the terrace, guess why...”

“my room is the one with the ohm on the wall, its a matrimonial bed with a private bathroom. the bathroom is small and dirty. the shower does have hot water, but it takes a while to heat up. the room heater works, but it doesnt put off much heat. The room is poorly lit and there is no closet, and only one place to hang towels or jackets, behind the bathroom door. the room isn't worth half of what i'm paying. The view is pretty nice, you can see the lake, but you also see a bunch of ugly buildings.nothing special considering lots of places in this town have a view of the lake.”

“Our dorm was right by the outdoor common area and so was very noisy - this isn´t a complaint, merely an observation so people may request a different room.”
