Originally I came to just rent a bike (highly recommended) but then found out they were a hostel as well and I immediately switched hostels to stay here.

The place is beautifully designed to create a great atmosphere. Very comfortable, warm and welcoming. Andy the owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. You can easily chat with him or play ping pong while listening to music. He has all the info you need for trekking, biking, climbing and more and has the ideal location for outdoor activities.

It's not in the center of town but if you want true Bariloche this is where you should stay. Access to the best outdoor activities, great advise, and breweries within walking distance. Spread the word because people need to know about this place.

Andy is a great owner, you can tell he is not money minded at all. Super nice and sweet. This hostel is located farther out of town by the 18.6 km. No breakfast. Take #20 bus to 18th km(diez y ocho km). Walk downard to the right and its the second establishment on left (you should find this place much easier with daylight as sign is currently down). They have their own bikes and recommendations. Nice, hot showers. Its harder to party from here as the city center is 35mins away, but your first priority shouldnt be to party in bariloche of all places. First hostel i stayed out of downtown in my travels and really enjoyed it. This hostel has a good location for those wanting the outdoors experience. I enjoyed the change, and i dont even hike. Keep in mind buses in bariloche require a card that can only be bought in city center & not at main bus station. If you get on a bus, you could ask for someone to pay for you on bus as its pretty normal and you pay them max $12 pesos (to 18th... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our homey log cabin design with large windows and ample common space has great views of nearby Cerro Lopez. There are rooms for 24 people. The hostel is BIT OUT OF DOWNTOWN , but its worth the extra peace of mind as its just a short trail to Cerro Campanario (1km) hop to a number of the upper trails:Cerro Lopez, Jacob and Laguna Negra. Buses run all day from the bus station or downtown. 40 minutes by bus from downtown to the hostel . ... more   less
