This boutique hotel has spectacular views of the lake from every angle. We had a junior suite which had views in every direction. The location is terrific to enjoy town or visit the seven lakes in the area. Service was terrific. We did a few of the included activities and another excursion which was extra and they were very enjoyable. Star gazing and sunsets are fabulous. Breakfast buffet is very nice but would appreciate more hot offerings beyond scrambled eggs. We would also appreciate more selection on the dinner menu. We chose to eat in town 2 of the 4 nights stay. We would recommend addjng ceiling fans in every room as there is no a/c. They did provide us with a portable fan, but its gime to address the typical higher temps. We also would have appreciated kayaks for use right from the dock. We would definitely recommend this hotel. …
The view is everything here!! Everywhere you go you will have the lake view that gives you the best peaceful sensation. Do not expect any modern facilities there. The hotel is proud of being there for more than a century. Have the afternoon tea while resting and feeling the lake view!
This is a really charming hotel in the style of a lodge. It is right on the lake with magnificent views. Rooms are comfortable and breakfast is good and in a beautiful room with fantastic views. Beautiful spa and direct lake access with a pier. You'll need a car to get into the village. My only criticism is that it is extremely hot both in the rooms and in the hotel as at large. Very friendly and competent staff. All in all I loved my stay.
We had the most amazing corner room with a 160 degree view of the lake. The room was huge and benefitted from black-out blinds which kept out the sun in the morning. Breakfast is in a fairly small room which was a bit cramped; given the amount of space they have this seemed unnecessary. We also had dinner in the hotel; this was reasonably-priced and quality and service were excellent. The pool and spa are good, although the external door to the changing rooms opens directly onto the changing area with little privacy.
Overall the Hotel was pretty good. Incredible view, nice staff, very clean. Points that can be improved - Menu in the restaurant should variate daily, at least a couple of dishes. Stayed for four nights and had to repeat choices. Suite with balcony should have a window that you can leave open. Since it is more prepared for winter, during summer you feel a little claustrophobic, all closed without air conditioning.
