After spending 3 days in Bariloche, we drove the circle route through the mountains (gravel road) to Angostura and spent two nights at the Alma Andina. As others have mentioned, the property is only two blocks from the main street which offers small shops, a grocery store and many restaurants. The lobby and dining area of the hotel are large and very comfortable. Our check in was fine though the desk person spoke little English but my wife's little Spanish helped us out. He showed us to our room on the first floor. Nice to have an elevator to avoid a flight of stairs. We were the only guests at this small hotel the first evening The rooms are average size and very basic in furnishings. Bathroom is has a tub/shower with a jacuzzi in the tub. Our room faced downtown and did have some road noise from the gravel street. The first night we walked one block to Nicolleto Pasta. This reasonable restaurant served good Italian food and was very convenient to the hotel. After a day of driving the 7 lakes route to San Martin, we stopped at the Mirador Social Club late in the afternoon. This restaurant is located up a steep gravel road. What for the signs as we took a wrong turn and ended up much past the restaurant. The restaurant is high above the lake and offers breathtaking views. From 17:00 - 20:00 they only offer tappas and beverages. Good food and wine with excellent friendly service. Worth a stop for a drink to enjoy the deck and view. Angostura offers reasonable lodging and restaurants without the glitz of San Martin. Worth stopping and checking out this little town if visiting the area.…
We stayed here for 3 days and it was amazing. The rooms are very good and the staff is always helpful and doing whatever possible to make the guests happy. Very good location as well, a few minutes away from the main street.
Very nice place to stay in this lovely town. Relation between quality and price it is quite good. Breakfast is exellent. Very complete and included in daily rate. Accomodation in room it is outstanding. Owners are very handy people. They recomended the best places to visit, and good restaurants to go. This week was so lovely to stay here!
My husband and I stayed here one night in our trip to " el Camino de Los 7 Lagos ". The attention was superb and the place is modern, clean, cozy. The bed was very comfortable and the owner made us feel part of their family. We loved it so much that after spending one night in another hotel in San Martin de Los Andes, we went back to Alma andina for two more nights. If you stay here, you will not be disappointed ! Ps: breakfast is great!😀
This is a great hotel in Villa La Angostura. Close to town but far enough from all the hustle and bustle- so it is very quiet. Town is only about 3 blocks away that is easy to walk to. The rooms are clean, shower has great pressure and we had a great view of the mountains. The room has a small refrigerator. The WiFi was great. The breakfast had a good variety of foods available. As mentioned in other posts, the owners are very nice and helpful. Although this is a family owned hotel- called hostería- it does have an elevator- a plus if you need one. This place is truly an architectural beauty.
