Upon arriving at the Casona DelAlto, we were first greeted by two sweet dogs and then Lilia, one of the owners. (We later learned the two dogs that greeted us were Luna and Lola. The third dog, that we met later, is Lisa, an Irish Setter.) Lilia was absolutely delightful and gave us the grand tour of this magnificent bed and breakfast. Our room was number 1 and it was perfect. It had a big, comfy bed, a great view, and a wonderful shower head in the shower. The property itself took four years to build, including the architectural plans, and before that, two years to find the perfect spot to build. It is beautiful in all respects. The property has an outdoor heated swimming pool, a jacuzzi tub, a small exercise room, a large library room filled with books, and a lovely dining room with great views of the mountains. It is a short distance to town which we drove through to see a nearby lake. That night, we had a FANTASTIC dinner at the OMA Restaurante (see that review on TripAdvisor). The next morning, we had a wonderful buffet breakfast hosted by Lilia. She will cook you eggs to order, which we did. She had available fresh, homemade bread, homemade dulche de leche, cereals, fruits, small pancakes, jamon, cheese and more! We would love to come back and stay for a longer visit so we can enjoy all the amenities this place has to offer.

Marcel and Lynn. Thank you very much for your excellent and detailed review. We are really happy that you enjoyed your visit as much as we enjoyed meeting you both. We hope this unusual world situation due to Pandemia will be just part of the past and one day everything will come back to normal life. Take care! Un abrazo. Fernando & Lili

We stayed 3 nights at this bed and breakfast and just loved everything about this place: the warm welcome by the owners Lilia and Fernando, the beautifully appointed house and garden, the room with a lovely view to the surrounding nature and the small details everywhere in the room and the house. We really felt at home. Also the restaurant “Oma”, in the house but independently owned by a young couple is very recommendable. It is not in the centre of San Martin but if you have a car, no worries about that. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful house, luxury stay. Everything was perfect, especially Lilia (owner and host) who is very helpful before and during the stay. We had dinner there, one of our best in Argentine. Lilia is very kind and makes sure you have everything you need for a perfect stay, without being intrusive at all. We even had a great jaccuzzi session with beuatiful views over the mountains. Definitely a wonderful stay I can recommend when visiting the 7 lakes region !
