Really nice cabana with all amenities, including parking and wifi. I definitely recommend if you're traveling with friends or family! It's located in a secluded road making it a very relaxing place to stay even though it's a short distance from the city centre.
This is a decent place to stay. The apartment was clean, roomy and well-appointed, but this review comes with a significant caveat. To book these cabañas we were required to pay up front – with no refund, which is the only accommodation that I have booked where this is required. I was not entirely comfortable with making a two night non refundable booking as we were travelling for 10 days through Chile and the best laid plans can go wrong. As it turns out, we experienced a delay crossing the border into Argentina via the Puerto Fuy ferry (missed the 1:00 ferry and had to wait for the 6:00) ferry. This combined with a very slow immigration clearance, meant that we did not get to the hotel until 9:30. The booking sheet says that there is no late check in after 9:00. Yes, we should have checked this fine print but were still hopeful of some flexibility. None – and no contact info. Luckily, we managed to find a cabaña next door (Cabañas Temporada) where management was on site – they recognised our situation and immediately provided a room (better than Aba Salomon), no questions asked and provided a very reasonable rate. Response to Aba Salomon the next morning was complete indifference to our situation. Manager spoke no English but managed to communicate repeatedly that we should have read the booking sheet and that there would be no refund, partial or otherwise. While he was within his rights to take this position and I did not argue the point, I was very put off by the complete indifference and unwelcoming attitude that accompanied this. This appeared to be the vibe of the place (could have been my mindset at this point), including signs in the apartment pointing out with exclamation marks that all guests had to depart by 10:00am – no exceptions! This attitude was in stark contrast to our brief experience with the Cabañas Temporada. The neighbouring apartment to ours was broken into while we were there. I hope that they got a greater degree of empathy for their plight than we did. Wouldn’t bet on it.…
My boyfriend and I arrived in San Martin after a 3 day bike tour from Bariloche. Before we went, we booked a cabin at Cabanas Aba Salomon, since we figured we would need to rest a lot and there was said on the webpage that you could get massage. The man at check in desk spoke non english what so ever, which is okay. Thoguh, when we asked about massage we got to know they didn't have it at all. Disappointing. The cabin was big and nice. Good kitchen, toilet was seperated from the shower, and there was also a bathtub (a small spa one). We didn't use it since we both took a shower first and after that there wasn't enough warm water. Maybe there was a couple of hours later, we went to dinner instead :) It's located up a hill, approx 2,8 km from the centro, so a car is to prefer. The beds where good and we slept well. The cabin has an alarm, so it seems really safe. I can see that this is the perfect place for staying when you have a car and go for skiing.…
We ended up here because our original reservation in San Martin was messed up, and this was the only place that could accomodate our family of 5 that night. They have a minimum 2 night stay, so we had to pay 2 nights while we only stayed 1, but the normal price per night is certainly value for money. The apartments are new, modern and clean, with good shower and well equiped kitchen. Location is good, not far from the centre of town, but in a quiet area.
