We only stayed one night, but the hotel seemed more tired than characterful. The room was small, as was the bed. The car park was there, but extremely tight for even a modest sized car. The breakfast was pretty poor. The staff seemed dis-interested. I guess on the plus side it wasn’t super-expensive, but certainly below expectations and the least nice place we stayed during 3 weeks travelling around Argentina and Chile.
It's a small hotel with cozy little rooms. Small but efficient elevator, specially for carrying luggage. The staff is nice and always ready to immediate help and attendance. Clean and sustainable room service, as the guests are asked to change towels consciously to save laundry water. It's in the Main Street of the city, so it has easy access to most restaurants, stores and the plazas. A walking distance to everything. The breakfast is good, with fruit salad, deserts and salty and sweet medialunas (croissants) that are to die for. The down point is the bathroom. Too old and in an urgent need of a renovation, specially the flushing system that is archaic and bizarre.
We arrived in San Martin after a long drive from Bariloche, but not knowing it was a long holiday weekend in Argentina. After three attempts to find an available room, the tourist information office sent us here. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a compact, but very clean room. It felt like a European family owned hotel to us. Our room faced slightly to the side of the building, and we slept with our window open and were not disturbed by any street noise. The location is within walking distance of everything, but just slightly outside the busy main core. Breakfast was very nice, in the cozy dining room on the main floor. They even found a parking spot for us that was off the street. I must mention the pillows, as they were also exceptionally clean. A solid three star property with pride of ownership.…
Booked into hotel by Mrs Glum but that all changed as we had a reasonable room for the night which was what we wanted, a quick night in San Martin, we were not on the street side so it was quiet enough and comfortable. Very clean lobby area and nice place to sit, star of the show however is that it is across the street from El Regional who have yummy beers and very good food. a pleasant on e night stay.
rooms are so small, bathroom in miniature. can't open a window 'cause it's licated very clise to main street and no a/c. breakfast is poor.
