I loved this hotel, it is rellay nice and clean. The receptionist was really helpful. We almost never had to take taxi, we could just go walking anywhere! The location is really the best of this hotel, and the price is totally worth it! I would definetely come back to this hotel!

Quite well disappointed by the hotel and on top of that by the receptionist. First of all they don't speak any single word of english. Then when you pay, while I extended my stay, they don't offer any discount (same price as booking.com where as booking take 30% commission!!). You cannot pay with VISA, only with MasterCard or you pay... More

I went here for breakfast this morning. After taking a seat, the waiter came after about 5 minutes to give us menu's. He was nice, but not conversational at all. Once ordered (grilled cheese sandwiches and a coffee) it took approx 15 minutes for our order to come! And it was not good at all. The cheese was tasteless, and... More

Hotel Regidor is located on the wonderful & central Plaza de 9 de Julio & for this reason I give it a rating of 4. It's a case of you get what you pay for! It's a 2* hotel, charging 2* prices. If you want more luxury, then book into one of the other centrally located hotels, e.g. The 4*... More

Location, location, location and Hotel Regidor certainly has it. It is on the corner in front of the main plaza in town, Plaza 9 de Julio. Most of the museums and great restaurant are within a 3 or 4 block walk. When I arrived, the registration process was quick, and I was taken to my room. I was surprised by... More

This hotel is located on the edge of the square, so close access to all restaurants, churches and anything that you want to see in Salta.....and that is the reason that it gets 2 stars from me. On my 3 week trek in South America, it was the worst beds, showers and breakfast. The twin beds are super tiny and... More

In 2011, we had two short stays at the Regidor on a round trip through the north-west of Argentina. Then, the Regidor was a simple and older small hotel situated on the main "plaza" of Salta, the beautiful and busy meeting point for locals and tourists. The standard is simple, but everything is tidy and functioning. We liked the breakfast... More

Great location on one of the main street of Salta. The room we had, twin room (2 tiny beds) was small but clean, had a good view. It has a small tv, a/c, shower... All basics were there. No safe, no fridge. The building seemed very old. It had a small classy lift that fits 2adults. None of the receptionists... More

A hotel worth staying at. In the heart of the lovelly town of Salta, Argentina, the hotel is situated at the Plaza 9 de Julio. Friendly staff, good rooms, clean. But choose to have your breakfast in another spot - you will only be served toasts in the hotel. If you want a more luxury place to sleep this is... More

A little background... I am a 22 year old man from the U.S. who has spent considerable time in Argentina (a total of 8 months over three visits since 2006). This was my second time in Salta and I was traveling with two Argentine friends. They are both, obviously, native Spanish speakers and I am nearly fluent (not to toot... More
