Wonderful Hostel with a great open inner courtyard and kitchen to use. Really helpful stuff who provide the visitors with additional maps and other informations for backpackers. Location is close to the main city center.
We had a very pleasant stay at Waira, the staff was very welcoming and the establishment is quiet and with a great view. Breakfast was a bit basic but the kitchen is well-equipped and everything you need is at a walking distance.
We took a double room with private bathroom, cause that’s all what was left. The bathroom was terrible : When you shower the whole bathroom is flooded as the ground is flat, so you have to remove all the water by wiping At the second shower though the tab was already full so the water wouldn’t evacuate at all The next morning, when we flushed the toilet, the toilet water went out through the tab and flooded the bathroom leaving a horrible toilet smell everywhere I used the common bathroom but they were also very dirty. Before going to bed we realize there was a cat under the bed The WiFi is very poor The common area are very nice Overall a terrible price quality ratio
It is an amazing place really, rooms are confortable, a huge outdoor área ideal for chilling and a beautiful quincho!! The breakfast is the best of my whole trip. Definetely would come back. The owner and the receptionist were super kind and helpful
We travelled through entire North-Argentina and this place was without a doubt the best of all! You gotta love Fernando: he helped us out with everything we needed. We stayed a couple of nights: there's a kitchen, nice rooms, a big terrace and everything is neath and clean!
We had an amazing stay here!! The owners are very friendly, the place is so nice and clean and relaxing. There is lots of outdoor space to chill and a nice kitchen/dining area. Would highly recommend this place to all travelers, on of the best places we stayed in 6 months travel
The hotel seems like a village inside the village. It's really peaceful and nice, there's a big inside square with tables, trees, hammocks... it's really cool. We got a double room with private bathroom that was in a little house. It was very comfy and clean and we really enjoyed our stay there. The breakfast is also really nice. We did not use the kitchen but it might be a bit small/not too functional if you plan to cook there. The Wifi does not work very well... especially in "rush" hours.
I stayed here for new year's eve, and had an amazing night. Everyone was drinking and dancing together, and the owner gave us some free food. There's wifi, but it's a bit slow. There are hammocks, and plenty of seats in the shade. The location is good.
Waira Hostel is a wonderfull place to stay in Tilcara The staff is very friendly and helpfull; You could stay in a nice room or camp under the shadow of the trees This place is near to the center is very quiet, you have a big kichten and salon to share your trip with the other travellers All the site to visit are near the hostel; A very good in the quebrada of Humahuaca to rest and visit the incredible region
The hostel is well located, just a few meters from the main street, close to all the bars, pubs, restaurants, banks and the main square. Breakfast is great with many options as oranges, bread, te, coffee, mate, milk, cereal, bread, cookies, butter, dulce de leche and jam. Toilets and room were spotless, hot water in the showers which sometimes could be a bit hard to find in the north of Argentina, but not in this place. Staff are always willing to help. There´s a bbq where you can light your fire, make your dinner and meet people from different places. Quebrada de Humahuaca is a great area to explore and this hostel is the best option. Thanks for everything to Vasco for this hospitality and great tips. I´ll be back one day
