Secret Garden B&B is an alternative to hotels in Iguassi. It is clean, functional and set amongst rustic tropical gardens. Our room had the absolute basics - a double bed, small bathroom, air con and a fan. The owner John shares his home with the guests and hosts drinks each evening. Whilst he has great local knowledge, is helpful with... More

Very enjoyable stay, good company and advice from John, helpful and kind. If you are going to the falls and prefer economy visit, there is a supermarket 2 blocks away where ethe B&B street meets the main road (food in the national Park is not cheap), and the bust to the national park goes from the bus stop on the... Secret Garden is a good choice while at Iguazu. Although the rooms are fairly basic (you'll need to bring your own shampoo and shower gel as none are provided) they're comfortable, and typically you'll be out all day. John is a very charismatic and interesting person. You will have drinks with him and the other guests in the evenings. A... More

Very cosy and relaxing place to stay. You wake up to the birds singing outside. A very peaceful place. John is a very nice person and his staff too. I'd rather live in Secret Garden than a luxury hotel.

Great location, nice, clean rooms with hot water, heat and AC, excellent staff and service. Good snacks and drinks at cocktail hour included in room rate. Breakfast included a nice fruit salad with toast and homemade jams and good tea and cafe con leche. If you are gluten free or need some protein with your breakfast you will need to... More

I can highly recommend the Secret Garden. Please make use of the email link to contact John direct as he can book your room as well as help you sort out all aspects of your trip including airport transfers and your travel to and X from visiting the falls. John was so wonderful to show us the town and he made all of the arrangements for us (transportation to and from the airport), and transportation to both sides of the falls. Our driver, Luciana, was always on time and a pleasure to spend time with. The B&B was just like the pictures. The secret garden is beautiful and very... More

We were only there a couple of nights and overall found the experience ok. John is certainly a character and i can see how he would be extremely helpful in arranging tours & reservations. We had already planned our trips around the Argentinian and Brazilian sides of the falls and John found this a bit "ridiculous". He is certainly opinionated... More

Others have spoken of the facilities, I would simply add that owner John Fernandes is a man with a wide cultural hinterland and vast local knowledge who will offer as much (or as little) assistance, advice or conversation (plus nibbles and cocktails) as you require. The Falls are an immense and stunning wonder of nature. John is something of a... More

We stayed for two nights had a wonderful experience at Secret Garden. John set up our transportation, dinner reservations, and mixed up some great cocktails in the evening. My husband had a reaction after eating some shrimp for dinner, and John even accompanied me to a pharmacy at 10pm to get some Benadryl. We enjoyed this little corner of paradise... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
An ideal place to jump-start your visit to the Iguazu Falls in Argentina. High on concept the Secret Garden is populated by tree ferns and other shade-loving plants salvaged from the slash and burn rural and logging activities decimating the surrounding rain-forest. Our location allows you to get a feel of living in a small South American frontier town and has easy access to urban amenities. ... more   less
