I was booked here by the company that I climbed with for Aconcagua. Some of the reviews here mentioned unclean bathrooms and needing repair. I was in 2 different rooms from before and after my climb and both rooms are clean. I could attest though to most likely thin walls as I could here the TV from the other room. With rates from 90-over 100 USD which is expensive in Latin America, I expected better rooms than that. The staff though and friendly very helpful. I had issues with my reservation (through the company for my Aconcagua climb) and they helped resolved that. There is breakfast buffet- I liked that they have fresh fruits and juices. The hotel is close to many restaurants and is at the city center

Like other reviewers I had stayed in NH hotels before in Europe and they were always of very high standards. I had expected similar here in Mendoza but was sorely disappointed by the state of this hotel which is in serious need of a major refurbishment. The furniture in the bedrooms is heavily scuffed, peeling paint in the bathroom and in my case a shower that didn't drain properly and half flooded the from the floor drainage system (not nice). A primitive and very noisy air conditioning system with no night mode so you end up switching off in order to get some sleep. Shockingly I can confirm that they have no mattress covers on the beds. Hotel public areas aren't much either and the lifts are particularly dingy. Breakfast has a good selection of various items so no complaints there and of course the hotel location is super central. Not really the usual NH standards just get an average for location and breakfast or it would have been much less.…
This hotel was booked by the company I climbed Aconcagua with, so I stayed here a few nights before and after the expedition. The hotel is well situated in the center of Mendoza across from a nice little park. Besides the location, breakfast is the best feature of the hotel. The buffet is very varied and there is always enough available. Other than that the hotel doesn't really have a lot going for itself. The rooms and bathrooms are old and in desperate need of refurbishment. Especially the bathroom which wasn't very clean either. The walls seem to be paper thin as I could here every noise my neighbour was making, there was also a lot of noise coming from the hallways and elevators. There was a really annoying light flickering from under the desk that I could not turn off. Maybe the hotel is rated 4 stars because they have a swimming pool, but in my opinion they are closer to 3... Having said all this, I have to give a lot of credit to the hotel staff, who were very friendly and helpful and really made you feel welcome in the hotel!…
Good location, as it is 2 blocks from Plaza Independencia. It is a 15-minute walk to Sarmiento Street. Friendly staff. However, in my opinion, it is not a true 4-star hotel. It’d deserve some remodeling (air conditioning, lighthing, carpets in the halls).
