We stayed several nights here in winter and found it solid but felt it could have been much better. The location is in the middle of the CBD area which sounded like a good idea but it was a quiet area at night and we would have preferred somewhere like Palermo for bars/restaurants etc. The room was very nice -...

There are bugs in the beds!! My first night staying in the Hostel Suites Obelisco, which is a Hostelling International hostel!, was horrible! In the middle of the night I woke up scratching my whole itching body. And then I saw these little beasts in the bed and on the wall, where were also dead ones and blood spots. It...

I was eaten alive by bed bugs! I'm covered with bites, and had an allergic reaction. I would not advise you to go there! And it's very noisy. People are screaming and talking in the middle of the night every night and we couldnt sleep the whole week we were there.

We stayed at this hostel for 1 night although we had booked for 2, one night in a dorm the second in a private room. We stayed here because we were meeting up with some friends from home. The first night 2 people came into our room and were asked to leave, it was 3am and they later returned with...

Make sure you always get a written proof of everything you book (including your room) trough the hostel. We had a double booking to our room, and since the hostel was full we were kicked out in the middle of the night into pouring rain. Also had some mix up with soccer tickets (no pickup from hostel although advertised). Otherwise...

Nice hostel near obelisco. This is part of the Hostelling International network of hotels, so if you have membership there you'll get a discount. Nice, large common area with free internet stations and free wifi. My only minor complaints are that there was no a/c in my room and the elevator was never working. Also, the baggage storage area isn't...
