This is a hotel with character. Beautiful antique furniture adorns the rooms and the courtyard. Comfortable bed, nicely modernized bathroom with warm shower robes and all necessary toiletries provided. Didn't carry shaving gear? Got you covered in the basket of necessaries on the sink. Good breakfast with fresh fruit, pastries, jam, and eggs made to order upon request. Friendly staff...

We visited Buenos Aires in November 2016. We stayed at Imagine hotel at the beginning of our trip and at the end. The hotel is located about 25 mins walking distance from Casa Rosada. The rooms are comfortable. On our first stay, we got a big room at the front but we were dissapointed by the fact that we could...

We stayed in this hotel 3 days, and everything went well (except for the broken fan). The room was large and comfortable, hot water good and WiFi strong, and it was quiet at night. Breakfast was ordinary - mostly packaged breads, but also cereal, yogurt, and eggs cooked to order. The location was decent - not right in a tourist...

Traveling from the US to Buenos Aires for the first time I was hopeful that I could find a room in the city that would be centrally located to explore the sights I planned to see. My lack of ability to speak Spanish concerned me as I searched through the hundreds of hotels. I was reassured by the communication from...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
