We arrived without any luggage, our bags were still in Madrid, and for three days Martina our fantastic host helped us track down our missing bags and organize for them to be delivered. Such amazing help. On top of that we stayed in a really unique beautiful room in a wonderful part of town. Thank you

The Posada de la Luna is a first floor apartment with several rooms of various sizes and a front room overlooking Peru Street. Not much airconditioning (bedrooms only) but the air breezes through from front to rear along the corridor. Rooms are individual, mine - No. 3, was circular with a rooflight and en suite - about 6m in diameter.... More

Lovely guest house in San Telmo. Only 6 rooms. Almost no service. But this is awesome. It is an old house with lovely architecture., rooms are big and functional. You can walk to Florida, San Telmo street parties. And also Casa Rodada. Plenty of restaurants and bars arround. You should check it out. The owners are amazing and wil help... More

Amazing place, full of history. Warm and friendly staff. Great location, ideal to visit the city, close to restaurants and main shopping places. Cleanliness and service are at the top. Exceptional value for the money.

We had a very poor experience in this rather strange place. There is no sign outside to indicate what it is, our taxi driver was hesitant to let us out. There was frequently nobody at all on desk/reception. We had a hard time with the owner who would only take euros and not a mix of euros and pesos. No... More

Dear guest, we appreciate your willingness to point out some details that bothered you during your stay at the Posada, this allows us to be aware of areas for improvement, we believe, however, that there has been a series of misunderstanding in communication, particularly in relation with the currency of payment. As indicated in the e-mail sent to our guests,... More

This hotel did not live up to its website or description at all. Impossible to know it is a hotel from the outside when you arrive. Only one member of staff there when I arrived, Colombian guy with almost no English (desciption says multi lingual staff). No 24 hour desk at all. Room dark (very small window 8 feet off... More

The photos and reviews of Posada de la Luna were good on this website, so my husband and I made reservations. Thankfully, we arrived via taxi at night, because otherwise we wouldn't have found the front door. There's no sign, just the number (remember the number because you might get lost again during the day, as we did and another... More

No windows in the rooms (except one), hardly any aircondition (BA is humid), only toast and jam for breakfast, expencive laundry - twice the price - and be aware - the woman owing the posada tries to trick you on the paying. She said she would lower the price if I payed in dollars. She also asked for all the... More

This is a beautiful place to stay when visiting Buenos Aires . The old house has been beautifully restored having maintained lots of original features, including a magnificant marble almost spiral staircase that greets you on entry It also has a very calming tranquil effect as open air hallway is lined with lovely green plants that lead to a garden... Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
