I cannot say enough about the staff of this hotel - from the moment we entered this hotel late on a Tuesday night we were treated like royalty. Without exception they were warm, helpful and professional. We have stayed in many hotels in many countries and we cannot recall warmer or more helpful staff. The rooms are quaint, comfortable and...

Krista is a great little hotel in Palermo Hollywood surrounded by bars and some great restaurants. It is only 5-10 mins walk from Palermo viejo and the same distance to the nearest D line subway station. Our room was stylish and comfortable with a nice clean bathroom. Highlight was the breakfast which was comprehensive and set us up perfectly for...

We were on a "high end" trip through Patagonia with additional stops in Buenos Aires, Iguacu Falls and Rio. We stayed at nine different hotels and this was by far the worst. Some might see it as a quaint old mansion converted to a boutique hotel. We saw it as a very overpriced, thin walled old building with leaking roofs...

We stayed at this place for one night on our way down to Patagonia. It's a charming place located in a vibrant section of BA. It's an easy walk to shops and restaurants. They have a nice breakfast buffet and have coffee available at all hours. Our room was small, but neat, and with its own air conditioning unit. We...

A beautiful, stylish and very romantic little hotel! Rooms were beautiful, clean and very comfortable while staff was professional, and incredibly friendly and helpful. I can recommend booking the onsite massage – it was excellent – and a great antidote to the rigours of exploring the city.

The staff at the Hotel Krista were very helpful with information about the area. They also called taxis for us and offered us refreshments in the lobby. There is a computer in the lobby free for guests to check e-mails. The rooms are smallish, but lovely and well-appointed. Everything was very clean. The hotel has the lobby as well as...

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Krista Our suite was spacious and well equipped. It was also quiet with excellent air conditioning. The only negative was that the bathroom needed a new coat of paint. As other reviews indicated, the staff is wonderful. They were helpful and caring and that really enhanced our stay. Due to some airline problems, we...

We spent a few days at Krista and it was immensely enjoyable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If it helps, all of the staff speak English. There are only a few rooms so the staff recognize all of the guests. The hotel is right in the middle of Palermo amidst a number of restaurants and bars. Cons: We...

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
