Great location and close to many restaurants. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful so that was all good. For us it was the breakfast that let them down. Most of the buffet choices did not appear until much later than the given opening time and to be perfectly honest was not worth the ridiculous charge of 750 pesos per person (about CAD $15). You can get an excellent dinner for less than that right in the area. So skip the breakfast and find a coffee shop or bakery instead.
The location is in a residential area of Palermo so not quite as touristy as some other areas. There are many restaurants all around the hotel including many within 2 blocks. The interior/bar of the hotel is very modern and pretty but I never saw anyone in that area. The room was very clean and quaint but definitely small. There is a little outdoor deck area on the second floor that has some comfortable lounge chairs. Not a lot of shade so a bit too sunny when we were there. There is a whirlpool there also but it was not filled and working. We did not eat breakfast there nor did I see that anyone else was.
It is located right in the heart of a sub-area within Palermo called Las Cañitas which is full of cool restaurants and bars. The hotel has a very homey vibe. On the ground floor there is a cozy living room and a beautiful garden. The rooms are very simple but they have everything you might need. On the first floor, there is a terraced garden with a jacuzzi for which you can regulate the temperature where I have seen hummingbirds visit. The breakfast is great and consists in various types of local pastries, fruit, bread, cold meats, cheese and great coffee. I really enjoyed saying at 248 Finisterra particularly the jacuzzi in the terrace as well as being able to reach so many restaurants and breweries without needing to walk much.
I feel slightly bad about giving this 3 stars because there was nothing that bad about it, but I'd also never stay here again. The location is pretty good, the rooms clean, and the bed comfortable. But the room is SO small that I can't imagine spending more than the one night we were here. I could barely unpack my suitcase. Also while it is next to some good restaurants and bars, I much preferred our more central Palermo location we stayed at later in the trip. So while this hotel was perfectly functional and have no major complaints, I can't say I'd recommend it over what else is available in BA. Hence "Average".
Clean, elegant lines, functional yet pleasant. Perfect location for business or play. Restaurants and shopping nearby, and the hotel staff gives very good recommendations. Attention to detail and service-ortiented. Almost like a Concierge service without the extra cost. Breakfast is abundant and of good quality. Quality at a reasonable cost. Highly recommended.
Had to stay at 248 Finisterra on a recent business trip. The hotel was lovely! The place was very clean, excellent staff and nice facilities. There is a nice garden in back as well as a out door spa/tub. Did not get to use it as it was a bit too cold but the space looked very quaint on a nice day. Plenty of places to eat around the neighborhood. The staff was amazing, always attentive and wanting to make sure your stay pleasurable.
It was my first time in this Lovely Boutique Hotel, but for sure not the last. From the guys in Front Desk (Martin and Salvatore) and the Ladies in the petit breakfast , you can fill very welcome. Rooms are clean and quiet (3 for example and 11 the must!!) All the area around Finisterra is plenty of nice restaurants and very safe. I strongly recommend this Hotel. Thank you guys!!
My husband and I spent just a night during our honeymoon. The room was very nice and big and surprise…with a Jacuzzi in the room. The room was clean and we rested very well. People in the hotel were nice. Just an inconvenience for breakfast: every table was dirty and nobody worried about that. Very nice terrace on the roof.
We stayed here for one night between flights. The location is great, near a large park and plenty of restaurants. The room was quiet and clean, but quite plain. No major complaints but note that there is no elevator (the staff was quite willing to help with suitcases) and breakfast is not included. I have to say that of the two places we stayed in BA, we preferred the Magnolia Boutique Hotel.
I stayed at this hotel on a fluke because I missed a connecting flight from the US to Ushuaia and had to stay the night in B.A. until the next flight, the next morning! I booked the hotel from the airport! I LOVE this hotel except for one thing, and unfortunately, it's huge. There was a loud machine running ALL night that literally sounded like a continuous car horn. It was horrible and earplugs didn't help at all. I was tired after flying for about 20 hours. I just wanted to sleep and couldn't very well at all. I asked the lady at the desk the next morning what the sound was and she said "it's a machine on top of the restaurant next door". I think I was in room 103? On the same side of the hotel as the check-in desk. Everything else was SO perfect, but this one thing would keep me from staying there again unless I could be guaranteed to be on the other side? If that's possible? The ladies at the desk were so friendly, they recommended the Campo restaurant, which was awesome, the room was great... But that noise!!!! Deal breaker. Wow…
