We stayed here 2 nights prior to our cruise...the hotel and staff was average. I did not notice anything for this hotel to be categorized as a 5 star hotel...reception was pleasant ...room was clean...it did take over 3 hours for reception to bring our luggage to us upon checkin and that was after 5 phone calls...breakfast was adequate...the bar...

Buenos Aires is a beautiful city with stunning streets and great parks. Palacio Duhau is a hotel located at the upscale Alvear street. On the first look the hotel might not seem like much but on entering, wow, there is a beautifully kept property with stunning gardens and great rooms gives you a great sense of luxury. The staff is...

Our Uber ride took us directly to the hotel where we were checked in early. The Park Hyatt is in a quiet area of BA. Perhaps too quiet. We stayed for just one night before our flight to Ushuaia. There seemed to be some high end shopping in the area. The hotel itself is very luxurious. We were upgraded to...

Simply a gorgeous property split between two buildings. My room was on the Posadas avenue side where rooms are said to cater more to business travelers. Room was immaculate, appointed beautifully. Favorite feature was the enormous bath/dressing area with the over-sized safe that had three charging outlets inside accepting one of each plug type: US, European or Argentenean.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel recently and loved every minute. Both check-in and check-out were swift and smooth, the staff were efficient and always very courteous and the concierge desk absolutely fantastic in their recommendations. Breakfast in the courtyard was a delight. Location-wise, the hotel is very close to a lot of the tourist sites as well as...

We spent 6 nights in this hotel earlier this month. The staff is terrific. They think of what you want before you even want it. Turn down service at night. Concierge always available and helpful even when you change your mind!! Everyone smiling and friendly. The rooms are modern and spacious. Bathrooms are large with both walk in shower and...

The Service here is very good. The Hotel is in a great location to walk to the Cemetary as well as other attractions. Very Clean with excellent staff. Do not miss the Pastries. They have the most incredible pastry chef ever. Inside the hotel is a wonderful courtyard area to have a serene relaxing afternoon snack. I highly recommend this...

Stayed for six nights this January. The property is in a quiet neighborhood. Inspire of its elegance, it radiates coldness. (Here I am not referring to the weather but the ambiance). I have stayed at quite a few Hyatt properties including three with Park Hyatt branding but have never felt this way. The place just don't make one feel at...

Palacio Duhau is best hotel in best building at best (ok, most luxurious) street of Buenos Aires. Has all facilities of 5stars place, along with histrorical interiors, regular garden and large, clean indoor pool. Oak bar with XVII wooden panels is great place for wine and cigars. Try to book a room in old historical building (palacio).

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
