Home hotel is the original BA boutique hotel and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The security guard outside this discreet, bunker-like façade is the only clue that you’ve arrived somewhere a little bit special. Located just on the wrong side of the train tracks in Palermo Hollywood, the address is perfectly situated within the city’s edgy, creative, media hub yet only...

Stayed at Home Hotel for 4 nights with my wife last February. We loved the location in Palermo. It sits on a fairly quiet part of the neighborhood, but its only a short walk to all the shops and restaurants. We actually walked most of the city while there. Including an all-day affair to La Boca and back! Taxi's are...

A hip hotel where the people are warm, friendly and super helpful? Yes, it exists, and it's name is - aptly - Home. That is, if you have a stylish and immaculately clean home :-) My husband and I stayed at Home Hotel 3 times in the span of 2 weeks, using it as a base as we travelled to...

Small Hotel with Great Service in a Great Neighborhood. Thought I'd be disappointed with all the good reviews but I wasn't. The pool & spa make it a great getaway in Buenos Aires. Truly the staff helped make our vacation in Argentina a memorable one!. They were the best; especially encountering travel problems with Bariloche Airport's closure. Highly recommended!

From inquiring about rooms until I was dropped off at the airport, the staff at Home could not have been more helpful, friendly, and gracious. While the rooms may seem small by American standards, they are just fine. The spa was great, and although other reviewers thought the spa and pool were small, the hotel does not have a lot...

We were really looking forward to staying here but it seems a bit dated. the pool isn't very big which isn't good when it was as hot as it was when we were there a couple of weeks ago. the spa is good - small but they have excellent massages. the staff were mostly friendly although a couple thought they...

My husband and I just spent 4 days at Home Hotel visiting our son who is living in Buenos Aires. Our son lives in Palermo so we wanted to stay in the neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel, but it's for travelers who are looking for a smaller boutique hotel feel. The clientele was for the...

My only disappointment with the Home Hotel was that I only got to stay here two nights. After a flight delay getting to BA, our trip was cut short by a night--and that is a big deal when you are talking about BA. With our flight delay, Home Hotel was very considerate and handled it with kindness and helpfulness. When...

I am confused by all the 'excellent' reviews of Home. For me it was average....(I feel some nasty stares already!) Its a nice small hotel in a superb location. we were in a superior double...which was fine. clean, not particularly spacious with a comfortable bed. but I had to ask to make sure we were in the correct room as...

RavishingRick and his ladyfriend stayed at Home Hotel a little while ago during a trip around South America. In short, Home Hotel is fantastic. It is a design hotel - hence you get this great little book from the Hotel (which is owned by ex-pats - including music producer Flood and one of the non-Finn band members from Crowded House),...

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
