DO NOT GO HERE. THIS HOTEL UNDER CONSTRUCTION. MISLEADING AND FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. My family and I (husband, baby, dad and mom) spent a couple of days visiting Buenos Aires. We chose this hotel because of the location and the reviews on here. I would say location is the only good thing they have but there is NO PARKING in the... More

Not the newest, quietest or cleanest hotel... But the price is very good, friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast and great location near the train station and city center. Great value for money (at least the price we paid on March 2016 which was very low)

Hotel Principado is what I call a 3-star hotel. Certainly not luxurious but clean and comfortable. Perhaps its biggest advantage is its location. It is located in the Retiro on Calle Paraguay, right next door to El Establo Restaurant---the best in town, in my opinion---just 2 blacks from Florida pedestrian and shopping thoroughfare, and 3 blocks from the ritzy Galerias... This is a good hotel to stay in BA if you don't have high expectations. It's clean and VERY well located. Rooms are small but OK, WiFi works perfectly in the room. Breakfast is OK, not a lot of options but overall good. I think it's a very good option for its location and price.

Yesterday I spend the night in the principado hotel and the service was awful, first of all they don't had towels in the rooms, a little detail, so when I went to complaint about it to the manager but I don't get any awnser, the WiFi in the lobby doesn't exist and the punch in my heart was in the... We were recommended to this hotel from a friend who leaves in Argentina. At first looks like any other hotel, when we went to the room we found a well appointed very clean room, equipped with all you would expect from a hotel of its kind. Make no mistake this is not Intercontinental but it is a nice clean hotel,... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
