This place is in a residential neighborhood. It is a bit run down and the bathrooms (at least the one in my room) was teeny tiny even just for one person. I think if you can afford to pay $10 more a night you can find something a bit nicer and in a better location of the city. The two...

The rooms are very dark and dirty. Many things in the room were broken or uncared-for. The stuff was not really helpful. If you want breakfest you have to phone the staff, but our phone was broken. We told the staff about the broken phone but nobody cared at all. We had to go downstairs everey morning to order our...

Just spent one night in San Telmo Flats, and we are glad that it was only one night! Our first room was not only dirty but filthy. The fresh made bed was covered with thick black hair. On the sheets, on the pillow- everywhere. How can one miss that when cleaning?? We complained immediately but the receptionist only payed attention...

The room I stayed in was very small and it has no view at all but the room was clean, the staff were friendly and helped me with everything they could. The location of the hotel is perfect if you're in BsAs either for business or leisure.

The room was big, with 2 huge beds and an armchair, whilst the bathroom was so small that in order to open the door they had to cut it into the shape of the hair dryer which was wall mounted. Staff at the reception were kind and helpful and organized a tango evening for us. I didn't like very much...

I had 2 great nights over here. The receptionist is very friendly, helped me with the internet and I could even book an extra night. Breakfast is mediocre but ok. The bath is fabulous and the bed is wonderful. The location is also great, close to everything in San Telmo.

Very good location, closed to San Telmo and closed to Buenos Aires center. The rooms are spacious and clean. You can't expect more on this price. The staff are English and Italian speakers. You can get lot of information from them.

For us, booking a place to stay is all about value. That is not to say we look just at price, but for the best possible quality/price ratio. And San Telmo Flats offers just that. Our room was big enough to accommodate a huge bed, breakfast table and a small balcony. The bathroom had all the basics you need. Breakfast...

Staying in San Telmo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Telmo
Characterized by cobblestones and narrow streets, San Telmo is defined by the tango, the dance that made Buenos Aires world-famous. Tango is a fusion of many different cultures: a true child of immigration, much like the city itself. Nowadays, it comes alive after dark in the milongas (dance parties) attended by both locals and visitors alike, who dance until the wee hours of the morning. During the day, the antique shops and classic cafés and bars around Plaza Dorrego dominate the scene. The emblematic Bar Plaza Dorrego, with its green awnings, checkered tile floors, and wooden interiors, takes you back in time the moment you step inside. For true porteño traditions, San Telmo is the place to be.
