We arrived in BA after a long cruise from Europe with MSC and were pleased to arrive at the IC. Wow, luxury hotel in the older part of town close to many of the government buildings. Our booking was for a room on the Executive Floor level, which gave us access to drinks and nibbles from 6 to 8, and...

Superb friendly hotel. We had a great room on the 14th floor, with a Club Upgrade courtesy of IHG Rewards Club. Lovely comfy bed gave us a great night's sleep, and a wonderful shower - our first decent shower after three weeks on a cruise ship from Lima. The Club lounge was really good - superb breakfasts, and the option...

Overall, I had a good stay. The room was nice and the hotel is within walking distance of many things. I stayed here due to being stranded by my airline. Transport to Cesar eze airport can be arranged for 1150 pesos, otherwise you can take a cab for about 700 pesos. My only complaint was with the towels. There was...

The hotel entrance is pleasing, but the rooms are small and need refurbishment. Swimmin pool lsck adequate hygiene. Stuff is very inefficient and concentrates on controlling guests instead of serving them. Since they dissappoint dismond members with their performance what anybody else expect?

This hotel lived up to the high standard of the Intercontinental group of hotels. The hotel is well situated within walking distance of a lot of Buenos Aires attractions, with many good restaurants nearby - a number of which the hotel provide a shuttle service to transfer guests to and from. As with other reviews, our only slight criticism was...

As an Intercontinental Ambassador I was given a suite and access the Club Intercontinental. The room was beautifully furnished and maintained. The service was uniformly outstanding. Food in restaurant was reasonably priced and delicious. I met the manager whom I encountered at the front desk. He personally escorted me to the restaurant and discussed my preferences. This was reflective of...

Stayed at Intercontinental Hotel Buenos Aires for 5 nights. The hotel is nice, clean and spacious but the only set back is that it is not sound proof. You could hear every single thing that your next door Neighbour is doing! Other than that I enjoyed my stay there and the staff were very courteous and friendly .

The hotel rooms are a little dated, but comfortable. The wooden floors on the higher levels are beautiful, but walking noise carries from rooms away. The more inexpensive lower level rooms are carpeted and much quieter. I highly recommend the restaurant. The food and service has always been top notch. The hotel is OK, but hard to call it a 5 * luxury hotel. Especially their breakfast restaurant, the food and miserable service are regrettable. Food is mediocre. I was offered very spacious and elegant, so cannot complain. Even the little, but elegant lounge offers good breakfast and delicious snacks later in the evening?

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
