I chose the hotel because it is close to my office in Buenos Aires, in the Palermo area. I thought that being a HJ hotel, service and quality would be OK, but I was much disappointed. Internet in the room is weak and unstable, not reliable for a working trip. There is no room service, even though they announce they...

For the price, this property is wonderful. It's well-located for exploring, although we found ourselves using a combination of taxis and walking, as the public transit options weren't too close. Our room was spacious, clean, and refreshed daily. While there wasn't any 'wow' factor or really stand-out amenities, it checked all the boxes. Functioning air-conditioning, TV, a speedy elevator and...

Arrived at night on a Friday and the area seemed a bit off. In the light of day all was good, the new apartments being built around it cast a somewhat gloomy impression the night before. The neighborhood has local cafe's and stores. Room was very nice, comfortable and seemingly recently remodeled. Breakfast was typical Argentina 9breads, cold cuts, fruit...

Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. This hotel is ideal for a one night stay and is ideally situated in Palermo, a few steps away from restaurants and close enough to the AEP airport. We had an early morning flight and it was quite easy to get there by taxi. Helpful and friendly staff. They prepared us hot coffee and...

There's nothing remarkable about this hotel. It's clean, comfortable. Our room was small, the bathroom larger than expected for the room size. Water was hot. We were here overnight while waiting to catch a flight. Staff was helpful. Not cute, not quaint, just a regular Howard Johnson which was fine for our needs. I wouldn't have stayed here if we...

They have a ridiculous and unusual policy that children have to have their photo ID and parents should have proof that these are their children ( like if you were crossing the border!) so they didn't let usin for the one night and they will charge the bedrooms on the creditcard..

I stayed here for over a week in October, 2015, and as others have noted there is construction going on in front of the building, but if your room is facing the back there is no noise problem. No real views from the windows, but you're not in Buenos Aires to sit in your hotel and look out the window,...

The hotel was small, but clean and updated. A bit noisy if your room was near the street. The breakfast was very good. Fresh baked bread every morning was my favorite. The service was excellent. They were very helpful to me. I felt safe with the 24-hour security guard at the door.

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
