We were a large group with delegates from around the world staying at this hotel to attend a convention in BA. The hotel and staff were very accommodating to our large group. Check in was a breeze and they offered a great exchange rate to change our dollars into pesos. They also arranged an early breakfast for several days for our group. Our rooms were HUGE and always well cleaned and stocked with fresh towels. Everything worked well including the wifi. A taxi or Uber is only a few dollars to take you to more touristy areas like Palermo area for shopping or dinner.

I admit I am not a big fan of modern, glitzy hotels like this one but it lived up to its billing. The reception area is spacious with lots of marble and sitting areas. The room was fine. The buffet was the most extensive I had seen in Argentina. My room faced the Avenida 9th of July and it was noisy on election night but not too late into the night. The a/c unit worked very well. It is located about a 20M walk from the obelisk and not in a part of the city of great interest to tourists but the subway system was available.

I love the room. Great view, everything is clean and works properly. Furnishings are really nice. We had a conference on the Mezzanine level and all went well. The breakfast could have been a little better, but it was acceptable. Service is excellent and the staff is really attentive, which is a contrast to some of the local restaurants. I love the location - I can walk down Chile Avenue and get great steak or coffee or beer or wine. I can walk a little farther and be at the "pink house" and the Puerto Madero district is just next to it. If you don't like to walk, there is a subway station one block away. Right now and I writing the review from the lobby - great place to just hang out. I would definitely come back here.

Stayed here with family, a total of 7 members from Mar8-Mar 11. Centrally located in San Telmo. Walkable streets to Plaza de Mayo, cafe Tortini. The front desk staff was friendly and very accommodating, especially when they got us a trip to the delta the morning of our departure and let us stay in our rooms till we came back from the trip. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The exchange money desk was a plus for travelers from North America. Daily breakfast was plenty. All in all a great visit and the hotel was worth it.

My wife and I stayed at the Scala Hotel for a week. We had a very good experience. The service was friendly and professional. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The hotel was centrally located and walking distance to many sights, including the Plaza de Mayo and Plaza Dorrego in San Telmo. They did a great job of getting us late transportation to the airport. I recommend this hotel.
