After a couple of weeks of staying in various different hotels and hostels, including much more "highbrow" - and certainly more pricey - hotels like the Sofitel Buenos Aires Arroyo, I have to say that this little place was my favourite and the best value for the money. WiFi wasn't always the best and the pool area was in disarray/non-functional...

My husband and I took the opportunity to spend the time between Christmas and New Year's in Buenos Aires and stumbled across this hotel. I can't say how lucky we were. Great hotel, comfortable rooms, great breakfast, great location, great staff. Our visit had a couple hiccups, not everything was perfect. Let me tell you, the mark of a good...

I just spent 3 nights in this nice boutique hotel, all excellent from the location right in the core of the restaurants and night life area of Buenos Aires, the hotel does not provide regular meals service, just B&B but no worries, within walking distance you'll have a wide choice of restaurants, their breakfast is nice as well, perfectly appointed...

We stayed at this hotel with my husband a few wks ago, and we just loved it. The personnel was very friendly, always willing to open the map and make us recommendations on fashion retailers, restaurants, cute streets to walk on, etc Room had a jacuzzi and breakfast was very complete, including continental + a la carte

Couldn't have been happier with our choice. The best hotel we've ever stayed in. It is quiet, small, modern, beautifully decorated, bedrooms are "enormous" (when comparing to regular hotels' bedrooms)... A good selection of drinks and food for breakfast. Staff is very welcoming and provided us with good tips. Mind the fact that this is a hotel that isn't centrally...

We enjoyed our stay at Ilum, the staff was helpful, breakfast superior to other experiences in Buenos Aires hotels (this was our 5th hotel in BA i think). The hotel was clean, decor modern, fairly standard style for Palermo hotels it seems. However it felt like a little oasis and very quiet once you got in. I liked the lights...

We had A great stay at Ilum. Our room was Big, bright and with A Nice sunny terrasse/balcony. We really felt comfortable and at home. The breakfast was great, fresh fruits, omelets, lots of cakes. Small exclusive hotel right next to restaurants and cafes in Palermo Hollywood.

We stayed here during our last night in Argentina when we were traveling back from Patagonia. Ilum reminded us quite a bit of the W hotels. The bed was extremely comfortable and it had the nicest bathroom we'd seen during our stay. One thing worth noting was their incredible breakfast. We were blown away when we sat down to have...

There are just 12 rooms, so the quietness of the Ilum Experience Hotel is guaranteed. The few people working there, are more than what you need and they make your stay be really an Experience. As soon as you walk into this very nice hotel, you breathe Zen, peace and calmness. It is one of the few hotels I know...

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
