We have spent a week in this exquisite, friendly, well-situated hotel. We were first struck by the refinement and very Argentinian decoration, we then got to know the staff who proved, at every turn, to be amazingly dedicated, friendly and efficient. The location is perfect, in the trendy, residential area of Palermo. We felt "at home away from home", surrounded...

Our host Maria was delightfully welcoming, making us feel right at home. The staff Natalia, Francisco, Carolina and Miguel were unfailingly helpful, assisting us with maps, directions, recommendations. There were many excellent restaurants close by. The rooms were beautiful and very clean - the terrace rooms on the ground floor especially good. The beds were very comfortable - I haven't...

I was traveling to Buenos Aires for two weeks, with a two day interruption to visit Iguazu Falls. Initially, I was scheduled to stay at the Magnolia for the first several days and then to stay in a different hotel for the final days in BA. However, after staying at the Magnolia for a couple of days, I realized that...

My wife and I had been travelling for a month around South America and I wanted to surprise her with a stay in a proper hotel for our final two nights before returning to Canada. The team at Magnolia not only accommodated my last minute request, but went completely out of their way to make our whole stay special with...

A true charm of a hotel. In the (!) district to stay in when you are visiting Buenos Aires, Palermo. At convenient walking distance of the Palermo quarter. The hotel itself is impeccable, a very-well maintained former-century mansion with all of the last century's charm combined with modern luxe in bathroom and amenities. A spotless room, comfortable bed, great breakfast...

We just returned from a 3 night stay at this charming boutique hotel. The room was a little small but very cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. We enjoyed having wine on the terrace. Service was great. The hotel is in a quite neighborhood. The stained glass dome is gorgeous. The staff was very helpful and...

Browsing through the hotels and reviews I thought that the Magnolia Hotel deserved a try given the reviews and photographs. I am delighted to say that it lived up to every claim of being excellent. The hotel is a beautifully restored typical 'old house' in the Palermo area, nothing has been spared in terms of quality, cleanliness and service. The...

My husband and I booked our 8-night stay at this hotel on the basis of the positive reviews on this site. Needless to say, this hotel deserves all of the excellent reviews that it has received, having managed to exceed our (very high!) expectations. The hotel itself is beautiful, and is located in a relatively quiet street but is very...

Words truly cannot express the experience I had staying at the Magnolia. From the moment I arrived (with no bags thanks to Air Canada) the staff literally bent over backwards to calm my nerves and assure me I was in good hands and I would enjoy my time in BsAs. This place is just beautiful, inside and out. A wonderful...

Stayed at the Magnolia for 5 days in September 2012. Being a frequent visitor in BsAs, I can confirm that the great reviews are justified. The location, atmosphere, service and the team are wonderful. Will definitely come back.

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
