This small hotel was quite a find, very central to the Florida area. It is quite small with around 20 rooms. our room was large, a large window for light, a very comfortable bed and a big bathroom with a Jacuzzi. What stood out for me though were the staff. We stayed 2 nights only and on the second night...

I really enjoyed this boutique hotel, especially after spending a couple of nights in a place without double-paned windows! The service is excellent and the staff always helpful and cheerful. The room was big and bright and very comfortable and clean. The location is very central, only one block from the busy 9th Julio Avenue. But since it was a...

My husband and I were in Buenos Aires as part of our honeymoon. We stayed at Casa Calma for three nights and were extremely impressed with the level of quality and service. Whether it was dinner reservations, printing important documents, or giving us tips on places to check out, Casa Calma didn't disappoint. The bottle of champagne they had waiting...

Casa Calma is a cute, boutique hotel. Since the reception area is small, we weren't expecting the rooms to be so spacious. All staff members were kind and approachable. We spent 3 nights here, then visited other cities. When we returned for one last night before our international departure, the staff remembered us and we received a hearty welcome back....

We only stayed here one night, but wished we could have stayed longer! The service we received was amazing, very helpful and spoke English. The room was great. Bed was very comfy and loved the jacuzzi. Would highly recommend, the room was very good value for money.

I stayed here for 9 nights with my very demanding friends! The staff was fabulous, organizing trips and special services for us before and during the trip. Their recommendations for what to do and where to eat were perfected suited to our requests. (and believe me we had many requests which were always received by smiles and suggestions) Loved the...

I had one of the worst experiences in this hotel, I think the building is pretty and well located but the management decisions are really poor, and make you feel really uncomfortable. These are some of the things I didn´t like: When we arrived there was no hot water in our room, somebody had to come and fix it. They...

Dear Marisa, Thank you very much for your feedback, your comments are valued. I am sorry to read about your disappointment, our main goal is to offer excellent customer service to our guests and I would like to clarify the following: The wellness boutique products (bath foam and salts) are items that hotels do not offer frequently. These are optional...

The hotel is as good as you read in the reviews. The location is great if you want to stay in the center of Buenos Aires. The check in was smooth, the staff is AMAZING! Since it´s a small hotel they learn your name right away, so you feel really at home. The building is very small, the breakfast area...

We stayed at the Casa Calma in June for 6 nights. It was perfect for all things: location for walking to the city centre, Recoleta or nearby sites; easy for my husband to catch a bus nearby to attend a conference near Palermo; the breakfast spread was good and you could pay a set rate or pay only for what...

Just like the name suggests, this is by far one of the most calm hotels I have visited. The staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities are nice including a jacuzzi in the room! It is located in the heart if the city but there's no noise from the surrounding areas.

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
