Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My daughter and I stayed at Casasur Recolate for about 10 days. We had had to reschedule our trip and the reservations department had been very professional and compassionate about our situation and accommodated us. We forgot to tell them that we would arrive at 7am in the morning and Augustina (a person at the front desk) made us very comfortable in the breakfast area and expedited getting us into our room a bit earlier which was a relief after a 21 hour journey! During our stay, all members of the breakfast area and front reception made us feel at home. Everyone always had a smile on their face. Jonathon and Rodrigo helped us in finding the best options to visit Igauzu Falls, at the last minute! They gave us airline suggestions (and what not do to) and stood by us as we hit the 'buy' button on our laptop! My daughter is conversant in Spanish but I am not. All of the staff made sure to keep us safe, in that if we took a cab they would come outside to help us and talk to the cab driver. Someone even bought us ice-cream to make sure we tried out their favorite option! All in all, I will stay here again, and I do hope to go again! Kudos to management and owners for picking such fine staff and kudos to the staff for going above and beyond. They treated us as one of their own and we appreciate it and miss them! The rooms are super clean and nicely laid out. Even though some of the rooms are road facing, there was no road noise. I only had one night of restless sleep but that was because the occupants in the room next to us were very loud.

We checked out of the hotel this morning after a lovely two-night stay. The service here is impeccable. Both Agustina and Rodrigo are really fabulous. They are so kind and helpful, and they are really go out of their way to make us feel welcomed!! They truly make us feel at home. The location is excellent. The hotel is within walking distance to the cemetery, the national fine arts museum, the national library, etc, and it is surrounded by excellent restaurants and shopping. The hotel even offers a complimentary city tour on Saturday afternoons, which we took advantage of. I did not have too much expectation since this was a free tour, but boy was I blown away by the quality of the tour and by the excellent and super knowledgeable guide Mr Raoul! He had deep historical and artistic/architectural knowledge of the city. I learned so much from the tour. The tour also covers most of the must see sites of the city, and we had our chances to walk around in La Boca by ourselves, and also walked around parts of the city with the guide. Perfect combination. The driver is also excellent (sorry forgot his name). He drives smoothly and safely. We will totally stay here again!

- broken bathroom handle - bathroom door did not close properly - shower door did not close completely, it was left open - room floor was broken, it had a noticeable defect that could cause a trip - lousy soundproofing in the room, you could hear the conversations from the room to the side, and those from the corridor - in front of the hotel there was a construction, which caused annoying noises very early on Saturday - in Booking it said a final price different from the one charged me at the front desk, another disappointment ...

Rude staff, torn blackout curtains, dead plants on my balcony, messed up parquet floor in my room… not what an upscale boutique hotel should be. And they charge you for the coffee capsules in your room when you make your own coffee!

It is our second time here, after many years. Highlights are the great location (steps from the top shops and restaurants of Recoleta) and the modern, boutique ambiance. The breakfast is great, staff very professional and supportive, including helping with difficulties with COVID tests for return home.

BEWARE!!! This hotel STOLE my money!! I was never able to visit the hotel due to Covid causing the USA & Argentina to go on lockdown, borders closed & international flights cancelled March 2020. From my understanding the hotel was closed during the time of the reservation. After 2 years of asking for a refund, the hotel still refuses because the original booking was nonrefundable. I saved for a long time planning to stay at this hotel for 5 days & now I have a newborn so traveling internationally is out of the question. It’s unethical & sad they have no issue stealing money from their customers, I would think twice before booking a reservation.

The staff was very helpful prior to our arrival to arrange transportation for us from the airport. The restaurant they recommended for empanadas was also spectacular. Although the lobby and main area of the hotel is very tiny, the room was quite spacious. We were pleasantly surprised with two full bathrooms and a large sitting and dining room area. The balcony onto an open air wall mural was a bit strange but at least quiet. Water pressure was good and free bottled water was appreciated. I chose the hotel to be close to the Recoleta Cemetery and I was not let down. It is close enough for a very short walk but not too close to see or hear all the people and tour buses that congregate outside the cemetery.

My husband and I traveled to Buenos Aires end of February. Casasur recoleta is in a great location, modern, clean rooms, friendly and great staff, always with good attitude and a smile. Breakfast is enough with everything you may need. Not overdone. We really enjoyed our stay and happy to find this hotel on the recommendation of our travel agent.

We selected CasaSur based on decent reviews and walkability to places to eat, drink, and sites. Doorman service is offered often but not always. Lobby is nicely air-conditioned. Front desk staff are knowledgable, caring, and responsive. Rooms are ready usually after noon. I stayed here for 3 nights. My room for the first two nights was an executive king #801 with a separate living area, HDTV, and 2 AC units. Bathroom is very large and comfortable. No tub only a walk-in shower. Plenty of storage and closet space. All the other usual in room provisions for a 4-star hotel. Nespresso coffee maker, wine chiller, and a small refrigerator. Sad that they charge $2 U.S. for each coffee capsule. At this level of hotel those should be free. Issues are that some of the furnishings and interior surfaces are in dire need of patching, mending, or resurfacing. You can see this once you are there but not in normal photos of the rooms. The most unfortunate experience here was the bad taste of the coffee during the included daily breakfast. The three of us agreed it tasted like soap and did not drink it. On my second day, I asked the server about the coffee from the first day. She got me a coffee from the espresso machine by the breakfast bar instead of from the kitchen in the back of the breakfast room. It was better but the quality was not like it should be at this price-level of a hotel. In fact, the breakfast is best omitted here. I suggest management allow a credit in lieu of breakfast.

Awesome boutique hotel, very well located. Very nice, quiet, well decorated rooms. Good quality breakfast, with plenty of options. But the best feature of the hotel is definitely it’s personnel. Super professional young team, energetic and proactive. Juan Cruz from the reception is really great. I came several times to this hotel, and the quality doesn’t change.
